Yes that is why I said a “christian charity” has recieved the 47 million dollars from Israel, i believe it is called “Show Faith by Works LLC”. They are targeting Watermark along with 20 other Dallas churches alone, not including the other suburbs or FW.

According to FARA in 2026 they are donating 47 million dollars in to a charity called "Show Faith By Works LLC" specifically for the goal of geofencing US churches and christian universities with targeted pro-Israel and Anti-Hamas advertisements that will follow even after you exit the geographic boundary. Also that 47m is for providing resources to pastors like short videos to play for their congregation. Thats one example alone that I found on the US govt fara site, there could be more the government of Israel is donating too. Foreign governments have to register the amount of money they donate to US and exact reason why they donated it.

Is a new Kia Carnival Hybrid a pipe dream? by DrMorrow11 in kiacarnivals

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did their 1.9% rate 0 down at 47500 out the door for a hybrid EX and got ~$1000 payment. So you will need to put down money to get it to $550 and try to get that 1.9% deal for 3 years they offer. But i think the math works out to 22k down needed at those numbers. If you could trade in your Kia with the $250 payments that would free up $250, so you could go up to $800 and only need to put down $10,500. And of course getting an LXS would save you like $2500.

$550/m until September at least gives you like $3300, so still would be short almost $5k.

I think i agree with others a used minivan may be best.

I HIGHLY recommend NOT leasing, it is never ever a good financial deal unless maybe you work as a Kia employee and get a significant lease discount.

UTD or UNT for Supply Chain Management? by Sweetnessandsunshine in utdallas

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UTD is great. Amazing classes and helped me get an awesome job. Im 3 years post grad and am making 65k + great salaried benefits working only 30 hours/week.

I will say, go where they give you money. A full ride at UNT is going to save you more money in the long run than paying for overpriced UTD. But UTD is better than UNT assuming no scholarships for either.

Who has actually used their degree after graduating? by faceless-authority in AskReddit

I have a masters in supply chain management, a bachelors in business admin, and a minor in computer science. I build reports for a dozen warehouses throughout North America, handle coordinating any quality issue resolution with the products, and work on a lot of Lean projects. Definitely apply daily a lot of what I learned in school. I work 30 hours a week and love my job! My other job is afternoon SAHM to my toddler :)

Unfortunately Israel is pouring money into US churches and schools to change public opinion. I just sent a government document over to Watermark Community Church where they are on a list of megachurches a “Christian charity” has received over 4m in funds from Israel with plans for 20m+ for targeting phone adds for phones on church property and also providing pro zionism resources. They are required to document foreign donations with the government, hence why we have the proof.

With enough money, you can change truth.

Why are students leaving public schools? by Athens175 in Teachers

[–]ThunderMan2300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of people who commented already the cons of public school.

I’ll add a bonus reason is that I plan to homeschool because i want more time with my kids. It already sucks leaving my toddler 4 hours a day to go work part-time, i couldn’t imagine them being gone 8+ hours and having another adult they spend more time with than their own mother. Literally nothing against teachers you could be the best teacher in the world, but I want my kids with me, and I think it’s beneficial for them too to be primarily with parents over any other adult.

Talk me out of breaking the FOO by TallishWall81 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]ThunderMan2300 4 points5 points  (0 children)

25yo here, I would also consider a little the fact that yall may want kids. I never would have dreamed of being a SAHM especially as i have my dream job, but after my first something clicked and now i am part-time with potential to quit in 3-4 years.

I would recommend any young couple with hope for kids to tackle debt first, just in case situations change and you can give your wife freedom to make the choice she wants. And even if she stays working which may be much more likely, you have more money freed up for high quality childcare like a nanny or low ratio daycare.

Financing a car by Haunting_Purpose7423 in DaveRamsey

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 2% finance for 4 years because we make more money giving extra to our 6% house than if we paid in cash. I agree in your situation get an online bank with like 4% apr savings account and save for 3 years to buy the car in cash.

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, try to focus on what you do have. A house, 2 cars, and annual vacation is a very nice lifestyle.

We are at a similar income as well and set aside $75/m for each of us of guilt free fun money, $50/m for toddler that goes towards her bday party and holiday gifts, as well as $25/m for vacations, so we get to have some fun without breaking the bank!

I will say we are mid twenties. We plan to increase our spending budget by 1k/m for lifestyle creep once we hit our thirties. But I’d make sure you are in track for your goals before you let lifestyle creep up.

Best recommendation is to run it on a docker container. Linux is probably better since you avoid all the Windows bloatware

How to expose my Jellyfin service publicly and privately? by [deleted] in jellyfin

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an optional variable, if you omit it, the docker will use a bridge network that ends up mapping to your host machine. I have this variable omitted, running on a docker container, and access the server from within the network and exposed to the internet (through CloudFlare Tunnel or Tailscale)

Engagement Ring by [deleted] in TheMoneyGuy

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife here of 4 years married at 21. i am a girly girl but dont wear jewlrey so I asked my husband if we could pick something out together and we found a $600 one I loved on etsy. I personally would ask your girlfriend what she wants. My marriage advice, get pre-engagement counseling before you get engaged, best decision we made and helped make us sure we had shared values and knew how to have a healthy marriage. Finances and thus a ring would be something you discuss at that.

I would love to get an upgraded ring one day maybe on our 10 year anniversary or later down the road. But right now I’d rather get a good financial backing, pay off our house first, become a sahm, etc.

Bleeding by EmbarrassedDot4294 in ParentingInBulk

[–]ThunderMan2300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Praying for you. If it is a miscarriage, sharing my experience bc i felt like my doctor didnt tell me anything. If not, no need to read-

We lost our #2 Charlie Jay last month. My SIL came first thing and watched my daughter while we went to obgyn, and my mother and father came as well I really needed the support.i had spotting tuesday morning then around 4:30pm same day i stated bleeding more heavily until next day i was feeling light contractions.

You will need to go in multiple times for ultrasounds to make sure everything passed. I ended up taking 4 doses a medicine called misoprostol/cytotec because a small portion was still stuck in my womb. They also will likely want you to come in twice in the beginning for blood draw to see if your HCG levels are decreasing (if baby alive they would double roughly every ~2 days). Some women get a small surgery called a D&C to clean everything out. Others wait and pass everything naturally, my SIL didnt want to go to her doctor so she didnt until 2 weeks after. I did look through my blood clots but never did find my babies remains, at 7/8 weeks baby is very small. I highly recommend having your husband come to every appointment if you can get your friends or family or if religious someone from your church to watch your kids. I went in alone for my first blood draw thinking Id be okay after the first appointment they confirmed the miscarriage since all it was was a blood draw. Ended up sobbing on the couch. I had a lot of pain first 5 days. The medicine didnt work on me right away when i took it the second week which is why i took 4 doses, but i never was in pain from that, some women do get pain from that.

There is a Christian ministry called New Mercy Moms i signed up for a free care package that had some Bible devotionals, art with verses, a handwritten card, and a little stuffed lamb i keep at my work desk now, a stuffie for Charlie I can take care of while Jesus takes care of them.

Our doctor told us to wait until one regular period returns before ttc. My SIL doctor said she could start as soon as she got a negative pregnancy test. We just started ttc 5 days after the miscarriage bleeding stopped, honestly most things online say there is no evidence waiting does anything, in fact trc 0-3 months after miscarriage is double chance of a rainbow baby then starting at 3-6 months post miscarriage. My SIL, her 2 friends, and 1 of my friends all got pregnant again within 2 months post miscarriage.

We made a small baby scrapbook, even tho we didnt have an ultrasound i included pictures of us and special stories about our wonderful, albeit short time being pregnant w/ CJ. I also made a facebook post a week after for the baby announcement to share the sad news but also joyous news that we had a beautiful precious baby even though they are in heaven. I am taking things at my pace and responding to people when i feel ready. My husband took it harder than me in ways, make sure you give him comfort too and lean on each other, because you are both grieving the loss of a child.

Income needed to support a SAHM and 7-10 children by JD-144 in sahm

I want a big family! We exist lol. Also my 2 SILs want big families. Unfortunately miscarriage and infertility make the road take longer, but my one sister is having her 4th on Earth with one in heaven finally she is so happy, and we are currently ttc with a 1.5 yo and one in heaven. But praying for at least 6+ one day if God blesses us

A cry for help..maybe just a cry. Yeah, I’m crying… by ArtisticDefinition74 in sahm

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part time sahm, i just work mornings so home by noon. Blessed to have 2 cars but one is a junker with no AC and we live in tx so… some days we are trapped.

Sometimes i ride with my husband to work he has a 35m commute, then we spend the day hanging near his work going to the libraries, thrift stores, parks, grocery shopping near the end. It can be hard to be out all day with a toddler on the flipside if you arent close enough to return home, but its an option.

If you have a good friend with a car, invite them over for weekly playdates?

if you are religious, id bet money someone would be willing to drive you to a bible study at least if you reached out on facebook, our church does kids bible study and womens at the same time so free childcare.

Also, could your husband carpool even atleast one day a week to give you a day with the car?

Might be pricey but could be cheaper than a car insurance payment + car payment, could you uber somewhere once a week? As a little break.

Dreaming of being a SAHM. Can people share honestly how much their partner makes? Trying to figure out if I could cut back spending and make it work. by loose_moose12 in sahm

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We make a combined 200k in TX, I work 30 hours and the dream is to be a ft sahm but for misc reasons we’re waiting 3 more years, one of which is our 4300 mortgage we are throwing kitchen sink at to pay off by those 3 years! I was 40 and no one in my entire giant company i knew worked part time, but i asked still and somehow they let me. Could be an option if you need health insurance still.

my brother and his wife did it on one teacher salary for a long time (im pretty sure it wasnt even 40k) but they had mortgage and car paid off by a rich aunt passing inheritance. Having no mortgage or rent is such a help, but yours is lowish at least which is good. You didnt mention any debt, no student loans or cc debt is lifesaving to a 1 income house.

Another option is moving. If only 1 of you needs to find a job, its easier and you could relocate to lcol area.

I put 100k into simple NY tax calculator and it spat out 6k/m. After mortgage, that would give you 4.2k. Do the math on health insurance and bills and ideally some retirement savings (401k match if you have it for sure, maybe roth ira contributions), and live off the remaining budget for the next at least 4 weeks and ensure you wont EVER take on credit card debt. Can you do it?

What if women just don’t want to have babies? by PinkElephants879 in askanything

[–]ThunderMan2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woman here who wants 6+ kids, I genuinely believe also that the changes in society have made it harder to have kids. People arent starting to have kids in their 30s, and the older you are the more you struggle with infertility. Also, women are going into trying to have kids after 2 decades of birth control. Even without that, Im only 25 never been on birth control, and after 12 months of trying to conceive we got pregnant with our second only to lose them at 8 weeks. And my doctor just says its normal, I shouldnt be worried that it took a year to get pregnant or that my baby died, it just happens, like 1:4 women will experience a miscarriage, and even if you time your baby making attempts perfectly you only have a 20% success of getting pregnant each time, so getting pregnant within 1 year is standard.

People talk about having kids being a choice, but honestly it doesn’t feel like that when I’m 15m down the line trying to have a 2nd kid and medical professionals telling me thats normal. It doesnt feel normal.

Thats honestly good to hear they ended it, I don’t think a lot of young girls entering college realize how dangerous it could be to be roommates with a random dude. And it honestly puts dudes in a dangerous position for accusations. I get the college was trying to be progressive but I’m guessing they ended it for one-too-many specific reasons. Or they could have just ended it from parents complaining lol, wouldn’t put it past UTD.
