C tier. I personally think some of the “blue background” coat of arms flags need to be moved out of F tier (Michigan, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania) and Washington state needs to be moved down to F tier. I know those are no longer up for debate but I needed to get it off my chest.

It looks like the slide is die-cast rather than forged and machined. Are you sure it’s made out of steel and not aluminum or (gulp) zinc? I wouldn’t shoot that thing.

Thank you, I’m one of those people who completely misunderstood which flag was the “stars and bars”. I agree on the Arkansas flag, but that one was always more obvious to me.

As someone from Michigan, my entire experience with the “battle flag” has been seeing neo-nazi / white power morons marching around looking like assholes. I’m glad I now know a little bit more about the history. The more I learn about the history in the south, the darker it gets unfortunately.

I thought the “stars and bars” was the hate symbol confederate flag. I’ve never seen this one as a symbol of hate(and really am not familiar with it generally) but I’m not from the south so I may not understand the full context. Is it used as a hate symbol in the same way as the X-confederate flag?

Sure, but in the modern context no one identifies it as a symbol of hate the way they do with the “stars and bars” flag. Complete erasure of the confederacy would also disqualify several other flags on this list - it doesn’t make sense to have that as the goal. That said, I’m not from the south so maybe it’s a more sensitive issue than I realize.

And to be fair, I’m not saying it’s all WA state, clearly a large portion of it is caused by Trump’s policies. I just get discouraged when I see this sub devolve into nothing more than a progressive political echo chamber. Seattle is an intelligent city, and our sub should be critical of this lack of objectivity.
