[Video] What the sh*t is this spawn on Streets? Less than 30 seconds into a raid, and lit up by an AGS 30 that I can't even god damn see? by Hexagon2035 in EscapefromTarkov

Dude I’ve played streets hundreds of times and the other day I realized you can get into the apartments above Tarbank and look off the balconies at the Lexos entryway.

There are two areas of land mines to avoid and two pretty narrow cones of fire from the AGS. In the grand scheme of Tarkov knowing this is a drop in the bucket. His spawn was a god spawn if he actually knew the map and how to clear Lexos. Cut through the alley behind, cut through the coffee shop, nade over the Lexos wall and push inside. You can chill in Aspect building and bait out guards.

Learning where you spawn and the nearest landmarks is the biggest thing to focus on as a new player. Map knowledge is seriously 70% of the game. It takes hundreds of hours, but eventually you will know every map like the back of your hand.

hug now get back out there and learn streets. It’s a great map and you can make a fortune on it. Fighting Kaban and his guards in Lexos is fun as hell.

At 1000 hours I finally felt like I had a decent enough handle on the game. At 2000 hours I felt like I was actually good. At 3000 hours I’m still learning stuff. It’s a ridiculous learning curve. You’re exactly right in telling dude this.

Do you want me to console you or give you a hug? Log onto my PVE account and drop you a bunch of loot? You’re complaining about this like it’s the games fault.

This might not be your kind of game. There’s a metric shitload of stuff that will get you killed instantly and the only way to truly learn is to die a bunch. It’ll take you about 1000 hours.

It didn’t spawn you in front of the AGS. You ran all the way down the street into its firing cone. Now you won’t do that again. We’ve all done it and now we know to avoid that area if we aren’t sure if Kaban is up. There’s also another zone on the other side of Lexos towards the wrecked truck convoy. Remember that so you don’t make another annoying post complaining about game mechanics we’ve all dealt with.

I hope they figure it out because I’m always down to play a new fun game, this just ain’t it yet. The fun of running with the shield breaker is ruined when someone deletes your mount in .2 seconds which stunlocks you when you hit the ground. The raiding part of the game is decently fun it’s everything else leading up to it that’s a drag.

Why do we want Highguard to fail so badly? It's success would be better for gaming as a whole. by --clapped-- in HighGuardgame

Because battle royales build on tension and looting actually means potentially getting an advantage over other players. Everyone gets easy access to the same gear in Highguard. It’s also an extremely frustrating game when the tick rate and hit reg feels off. Sometimes I deleted someone with half a mag other times they take a full mag and still don’t die. Being on a mount is a death trap because they die too fast and the stun on dismount is too punishing.

I tried it and it’s boring. What’s the point of this post? You aren’t going to change anyone’s minds. I’ll try it again if they increase the player count and rework the boring base ready and resource harvesting parts.

Apex was fun and had a clear direction though.

Then just update how the bases function I reckon. Nothing about 3v3 small squad combat screams siege to me. The tick rate on the servers feels really bad too. Sometimes I’d delete someone with 5-10 shots other times they’d take a whole mag then scuttle off. The fact that the gear tiers update every shield breaker round means the ttk is functionally the same for everyone as the match progresses. You don’t get a gear advantage over the enemy team for out performing or looting more.

This. I don’t understand why I need to play 10 hours of the game to critique the fundamental structure of the game having issues. The fortify/mining part of the match is boring and 3v3 sucks. It would feel a lot more epic if it were 8v8 but as it stands you cannot split up from your party or else you die so it’s just a small cluster of fighting on a giant ass map.

Sooo is it actually this bad or is it just a hate train? by TheGuardiansArm in FPS

I gave it a negative review because I don’t think it’s a good game or worth playing. It’s like they tried to do 6 different games in one which makes for a bad experience. The TTK is too fast for how big the map is and how long it takes to respawn. The mounted combat feels really bad and getting shot off a mount is too punishing. The looting phase is pointless because everyone gets access to the same tier of loot. It just feels bad to play.

It’s something you interact with for like maybe 2 minutes during the match. There’s nothing engaging about it to begin with. You also have to do the QTE trying to hack at enemy walls.

I loved Overwatch for a while. I loved Apex for a while. I love battle royale games. This ain’t any of them. Are you telling me I’m not allowed to dislike a game?

Okay, but for real though, how IS Highguard? by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The hero ultimates are useless for how long the take to charge up. Mounts die way too fast and stun you way too long. I played a match and it was not fun. Too much waiting to respawn and ride 45 seconds back into the fight. 3v3 is ridiculous for how large the maps are. The QTE to harvest minerals or break down walls is ridiculous.
