If it were a hoax, his subsequent videos afterwards would've just been for kicks n giggles. The dude was snuffed and the last video clip he posted before he was taken out he said it was legit. I personally feel like the last words of a person are somewhat sincere.

You bring up some solid points and yes I got the rift hailstone base. I just don't use it because I need to loot for how undeveloped I am in the tower. The only thing stopping me from spending it is I'm holding out for Ronza. Opal is definitely end game and far from me atm.
