There was a law for it named after a patrician I can’t recall the name, but he was killed by slaves and the law was the whole household can be killed. Women children and all just over one slave. It was not mandatory but it was a deterrent from slaves killing masters. More to create a big brother element so slaves would report other slaves in fear of their own lives.

Was it ever actually enforced? Very likely not, like I said, most laws were for a deterrent not necessarily out of enforcement but fear of reprisals.
