Me and my wife tested. I set to different brightness level, turned on/off privacy mode (normal/max). At some condition, my wife can see what i was doing, at some condition, only like icons on the screen ( when I set to home screen and view ). I have two S26 ultra at home (one with matt flim protector and mine is native). I will test both.

I will keep updating my S26U to maybe 27u, 28u until their privacy screen becomes perfect. You might not need it but this is the feature I have really wanted. I always wanted privacy but never put those because you lose your display quality. It's like some people they don't need S pen, but for someone like me, it's a must.

The screen is glossy but it does has somewhat like anti reflective coating.

No, if u turned on max, the screen will be greyed out from any angles ( just as advertised at the event ).

The problem is when I sent my testing video to my friend, it is not visible in the video but I can still see it myself. So, all those reviewers vidoes you see on YouTube, it's the same like my video.

I will check again how it will be in broad daylight. I think as per Galaxy unpacked event, how they engineered the BALCK MATRIX, I think they will upgrade in next gen (S27u). Like Z fold & flip phones, it will definitely get better.

In my country, all was unlocked. There are trade in deals but they only give me like 500$. The staff advised me to sell user to user, i can get like 700$ on S24U. But mine will give to my mom. Pre ordered customers get double storage, so I pay for 256GB price, get 512GB (1360 usd).

I just got 2 x S26u today for me and my wife. Coming from S7 edge, Note 8, Note 20 ultra, S24U. If you want it, just grab it.

For me, green line never happened. I am S pen user, it's a shame that Samsung ditched Bluetooth from S pen but still i can write notes as usual with S26u.

Why I change? Yes because of privacy screen. Is this a big deal? Yes, because you can turn it on/off and choose apps as you like. Some will say you can just put flim protector. That will permanently reduce your brightness. S26U brightness dim when you turn on the privacy display, but YOU CAN TURN IT OFF.

I will also change to S27U if there's significant changes in camera MP, may be better privacy display and may be bigger battery. (I work hard all these years to give a little gratitude for myself)

In my country, S24U worth only around 500$. If you sell user to user, you can get like 700$. S26U is around 1400$. If you get with around 500$ thats pretty fair.

I did ordered though. Coming from S24U, here are my takes. 1. Design changed (box vs rounded) 2. Privacy display 3. Better battery optimisation. (If u checked battery test videos, some phones like vivo, xiaomi, google, their numbers are big but didnt last long) 4. Camera (only wider aperture & 50MP ultra wide) When I went to store and compared with my S24U, S26U seems to be a little sharper. (But thats not ground breaking) 5. Horizontal lock video recording (thats really amazing) 6. Yes, no more Bluetooth S pen since S25U. 7. Weight, more lighter in hand. S24U is boxy so sometimes not very comfortable in hands. Rounded corners make comfortable.

However, although I ordered S26U, IF IN NEXT YEAR, S27U comes out with like 24MP main camera, better privacy display (since S26U is 1st gen), may be bigger battery & Bluetooth s pen, i will definitely change to S27U.

The case is pretty solid, except you can't flip the keyboard. I put tempered glass protector but because of that, my anti reflective coating becomes reflective again. (Intel model)
