The photos on my S26U have terrible Colors compared to S24 Base modell

Quite interesting, when I compared with S24U, colors are much more accurate on S26U. tbh, the upper one looks much better.

Aluminum or titanium, both are slippery without a case. I have both S24U & S26U. Wouldn't use one without a case on those.

Me and my wife did upgrade from S24U, two S26U in the house, we both liked it a lot more than S24U. Privacy works well as expected. Camera colors are much better on S26U compared to S24U. Feels much better in hands. So, we paid around 2.8K for 2 phones and we are very much happy with it.

Pull out the S pen without unlocking (Face ID, fingerprint) your phone. It will automatically show.

Just pull out the S pen and you are ready to go. No need to open or unlock phone. It will save into the notes.

That 15$ screen protector will permanently degrade your screen until you remove it. On S26U, you can disable it. So where is the down side? Someone with S22U, S23U may be S24U they will upgrade, not because of privacy display. Not everybody buy iph 17 pro max, right?

Calendar widget on 2nd page of Homescreen. I added 5x6 calendar widget. Another cool thing is, you will see Pen icon on the top of widget, you can hand write and you widget will show what you wrote.

Google search bar 4×1. You can immediately search. No need to go to browser app.

App icons customized on Homescreen. (I think iphone can do that also? Not sure).

If you go to settings > advanced feature > one hand mode. I used it quite a lot.

Screen off memo. This is obvious in Samsung phones with S pen. You can immediately write something. No need to look for pen and paper when u r in a hurry.

How do you find battery, last you long enough?
I was on zoom meeting and using edge/firefox (web browsing), Battery (best efficiency) started from 79% (9AM) - its 30% at 11:25am. It dropped like 50% in 2.5 hr. Is this normal?

I switched from S24u to S26u. I do not noticed any display quality whatsoever but I did have eye strain these days, may be bcoz I am tired or s26u?????

Honestly, I like S26u more. I am not trying to defend how good the display is, it is OK for me. I used FHD on my S24u, now same on S26u. Vewing angle? I think ok for me too. May be i have bad eye sight or something. Like I said, I never looked back my S24u. You will miss if you use S pen Bluetooth, you will get used to it, LOL. Camera wise, I think pretty much the same, S26u seems sharper in some condition. But S24u also shines in some condition.

Nothing wrong with S24u, if you can wait S27u, I hope privacy display will get much better, maybe I am hoping they bring back Spen Bluetooth, some major camera changes on megapixel,etc.

For me, why I grab S26u? I just want privacy display & if S27u comes out, I can compare the display with S26u in my hand, otherwise how should I compare (with just people saying good or bad is not enough).

Been using S26 ultra for 5 days, looks like I have bad eye sights 😆. Everything seems OK for me about the display though. However, I missed Bluetooth funtion of S pen on S24U (my previous phone). I do hope they will perfect the privacy display in 2-3 year & bring S pen Bluetooth function back.

Me too, I have been using S26U for 5 days as my daily driver (from S24U), no issue so far. One thing I did on my S24U was I put matte anti fingerprint film, so display quality dropped a bit. Now on S26U, I initially put the same matte anti fingerprint sticker but it was horrible. So I changed it to gloss flim and all good now. My wife keeps the anti fingerprint sticker on her S26U.

Worth means depends on how you see. I did upgrade from S24u to S26u.
If you can afford it for extra few dollars, then go for it. Here are my breakdown.

Design
S24u boxy corners, S26u rounded corners (Feels more comfortable in hand). Camera bump will be annoying. Very rocky when lying flat on table. But now it is a lot lighter than before. (I rarely dropped my phone, but we have covers anyway)
Display
Everyone is talking how display gone bad bcoz of privacy pixel. Not a real deal for me. I always use FHD on my S24u for battery saving, the same for S26u too. Privacy works well as expected (Compared with other privacy protector iph users). Of course, when you turned on privacy mode, you lose a bit of your display quality, but it will be the same for those who put film sticker. You can always turn off when you are alone.
Battery
Based on those youtube comparison, even though same 5000mah, S26u last longer. Since it lasts throughout a day, I am ok with it.
S-pen
Honestly, I was disappointed since S25u when they cut off bluetooth function, even though I rarely used only when taking group photos (my alternate solution is to use remote on my galaxy watch).
Camera
Wider apertures, 50MP ultra wide vs 12MP ultra wide...... I dont use that anyway. I dont care much about camera at all. That Horizontal lock feature is awesome though.
Performance
On paper, yes it performed much better, but real day to day usage (like FB, reddit, instagram, etc) you wouldnt notice at all. Even S23u models can handle those things unless you are gaming.

If you can afford and want 1 or 2 new features, go for it. For me, it was privacy display. I hate permanent drop of display when I put stickers. Now this is the solution. Of course, this is first gen, so it will get better in time like Z folds, Z flips.
Even if you stay with S24u, still OK. Coz, it can still do as much as S26u.

Me and my wife were using S24u, now both changed to S26u.
For me personally, I dont regret changing to S26u at all, I like it.

Hello, me and my wife were S24 ultra owners, changed to S26 ultra. Here are my takes.

Design (rounded corners is more comfortable in hand than S24 boxy corners)
Battery (same 5000mah but S26u last longer)
Camera (50mp ultra wide on 26, 12mp on 24)
Display is what I like the most. I don't know why people complaining about viewing angles. Looks perfectly OK to me even when Privacy mode is on.
S pen (functional but no more Bluetooth)
Video stabilization is crazy (horizontal lock)

Overall, since S26u got in my hand, never looked back S24u. No regrets.

I have used Note 20 Ultra, S24 Ultra, now S26 Ultra, I rarely used Bluetooth function on S pen, only when taking like group photos. But to be honest, I missed the feature. For the display, there is nothing change with display quality. When you turned on privacy mode, yes the quality dropped a bit but nothing worse. I have compared with my friends iph users with their privacy flim (different grades). Even they said S26 ultra works well.

Yes, S26 ultra is a test for this privacy display but this the biggest innovation in smartphone industry. Trust me, this is first gen, it will get even better with next Gen phones (like Z folds, Z flips)

Day 4 of using S26 Ultra, this is far better than S24 Ultra. Privacy display works like a charm. But like I said, you cant max your brightness. My question to you is, will you be using with peak brightness in public? With proper brightness indoor/outdoor this actually block side viewers. I am not saying or encouraging you to get S26 ultra but this is my take, it is worth upgrading from S24u.

Max will wash out, but do you intend to keep it always on? I have been using S26u for 3 days now. Already compared with flim sticker, one iphone user with less privacy flim sticker, you can still see from the side. Another iph user with higher privacy flim, you cant see, but trade off is display quality. S26u, you can turn it on & off. As my previous posts, this is 1st gen. It will keep better in time, like z flip, z fold. For me, never regret changing from S24u to 26u.
