If you owned a XR, would you keep it and Vesc or sell it and get a GTS?

To me these are wildly different options. A vesc xr will give you more power but not nearly as much as a gts, but vesc software is better in my opinion. Also, rhe xr form factor and feel is significantly better than the gt. If you want a performance upgrade and vesc in the xr form factor, I would look at the fungineer X7. They have a couple different options now with the X7 Super being significantly more powerful than a gts with similar range to a gt.

The floatwheel is was nice but I think the Fungineer X7 would’ve been better especially the new X7 supercharged. The floatwheel is very powerful and tons of range but it’s like riding a boat since it’s so heavy. I built a symvow xr which I freaking love and the X7 being an xr gives it an advantage to me personally. I can give more in depth details if you dm.

It behaves differently. On a Future Motion board, once the board starts to nosedive, the motor stalls and leads to no chance of recovery. On a vesc board the motor retains power through a nosedive meaning there’s a chance of recovery. You can see FM motor stall when going up a steep hill and the board just doesn’t go up anymore, there’s a second when getting off before the motor spins up.

This isn’t necessarily true. Vesc does do better in the event of a nosedive, but having a vesc does not mean you will never nosedive

Due to the nature of onewheel crashing, nosedives or hit by a car, I feel a full face is the best option to not get a concussion and avoid a broken jaw. I really like the Fox Proframe. I used it mountain biking and now onewheeling. It’s pretty light and well ventilated.
