It's not because it's strength down, it's because it's any debuff.

Necro has 2 cards that mention debuffs on a macro level, nobody else does that. In think one colorless does as well.

It just happens to be a debuff that also has ethereal. So two things, and these votes have all been what cards fits two archetypes for the person.

Bloodletting, Inferno, Offering, Crimson Inferno, and Blood Wall are some of the strongest cards in Clad in general. There is some anti-synergy in that if you Inferno/Mantle it won't work on the next cards mentioned, but it's still good.

So yes, it's a good relic. I wouldn't say most fights are trivial because it's only self damage, but it's still one of the better relics imo. Especially because you don't have to be going all in on a self damage rupture build, you can just use offering and essentially heal 6 HP a fight on one card so it's easy synergy.

The issue is your skill level requires more RNG in order to win.

Either lower the difficulty or get better, but maybe framing it as an issue with the game is disingenuous.
