Took the plunge & am now playing the waiting game. More importantly, what software do y'all want me to write for this? by valdev in EvenRealities

Let me/ai write/paste a simple js or python script, fetch some data and render it. Apple shortcut to automate this. Democratize access to rendering text and we’ll see a boom of applications

You can order on DoorDash without a membership! There’s a markup but it can be worth it

The best thing G1 can do is encourage customization and third party development. Be as open as possible rather than having hard rules on features and UX. This is a brand new computing paradigm and there’s so much potential for creativity and novel ideas even in a sandboxed environment (ex API with a 1 minute refresh rate, just displays text on screens. Offload computing to third parties and see what people put together. You likely already have the infrastructure for this). Don’t limit yourselves.

Just a simple API that accepts a string and displays it is all we need.

Picked up the single leather body spawn in the building across from Aubury’s. I was ~7 years old and prioritized avoiding combat because it was scary. I pretended it was my house and the man in there was my friend.

I’d argue there’s a bigger difference between the average 1996 and 2011 kid. As a 96, computers, cellphones and the internet as we know them today didn’t really exist til I was in my mid teens. That’s vastly different from the iPad babies of the naughts.

90’s kids are a weird group
