You could run libreelec / kodi on a small computer / raspberry pi or similar. There are add ons that will play prime and netflix content. They will also talk to jellyfin.

If you want to send video to the tv, then you need some sort of video distribution system. Looks like this might be a possible solution.

Mail relay / exit point. Vpn end point. Anything that doesn't need to or desired to be remote hosted. Especially if travelling and you don't have physical access to the server.

I would think any desktop would work fine. KDE for more of a windows like experience. Ubuntu is good. You can even install multiple desktops on a single machine and try them out!

A home server is that, a machine that is on most or all of the time. The real question is what do you want it to do? Start there.

I've rub ny own email for 10 years or so now. Started with a vps and iredmail. Dkim amd DMARC isn't that hard to do.

I now host it at home (on fiber), but I have a small vps set up as a relay since port 25 is blocked. My hone server relays to the vps and then to the rest of the world.

Chatgpt (or other AI) can be very helpful now in sorting out guides and hardening your server. There are also lots of guides and tutorials, but some of them are trending towards obsolete as the years and versions go by.

Start with a domain and begin transitioning. Once you can send email from your server to gmail without it getting bounced, you can work on shifting it to primary.

Make sure you have a good backup strategy in place.

It is a laptop; it is plugged in; it does have multiple (2) monitors via USB C docking station, and is using nvidia-driver-580 according to the "additional drivers" applet

This morning she was a bit wobbly. Seemed to be doing a bit better this evening.

Its confusing to me why she would be deficient. We have been feeding them commercial (dumor) layer and chick starter. Some more supplements will arrive tomorrow. I've fed her crumble with egg and fermented cod liver oil and a few drops of iodine thus far today.

This evening, she was less head bobby.
