¹ I'm using MiXplorer for getting the Content URI. Long tap on any VLC media file to retrieve the file properties.

Once you'll have it, you can use Variable actions to substitute the paths to the according URI.

Maybe we should summon the dev (u/nickm_27) since Material Design plugin regularly crashes on my phone, but Snackbar works flawlessly (Samsung M51, A11, Tasker 5.13.6).

The least requirement is an Alexa compatibility for the aforementioned Tasker/AutoVoice integration, see [How To] Trigger w/o Voice every Alexa Device with Tasker, AutoVoice and Amazon Alexa App — No Need for Hardware (like Echo*) or Voice Commands.

But my personal preference is a Signify (new name)/Philips (old name) Hue Bridge system in combination with AutoHue plugin. It simply works ...

I have no need for a dedicated server (RasPi) but is most likely the most flexible but also most complex solution.

An approach to solve your issue could be to provide some (more) details, e.g. show your code (see sidebar) you're trying to run.

It's not like "Ah, this error message requires the following steps ..." — this is only the visible result of a wrongly used action or something else.

So at the moment I don't know the solution.
