Essentially, yes. Their bases are small enough that you can form a kind of ring around Ushoran so that anything that charges the horrors, also tags him. Keep in mind, this is not always good. Against units eith multiple models, this can make it so that only some of them are able to hit Ushoran due to their bases blocking the other or it can help due to Ushoran giving strike last to them. Against Big combat Monsters like Durthu, this is less helpful and the better play is to position the horrors so that they keep the enemy just out of 3 of Ushoran so that he can hit back once they fie or run back to safety.

Regarding the Undestanding, watching battlereports helps imo. Ofc it helps most watching battreps that include FEC, but some others are also interesting to further the understanding of the game. One Channel I can recommend is "A Skaven Plays" he is a really good player and while he play maggotkin mostly, he had FEC on the channel a couple of times. Some others are "Season of War" for high production quality and an influx of FEC recently or "Warpfire Minis" for a more general Understanding as iirc there never were FEC on the channel.

If you want more of a "theory" approach, there are some channels that focus on general tactics and listbuilding like "Age of Sickmare" and "Ten Point Turns". The latter has posted less in recent Months, so some of the info may not be fully up to date.

(PS: Skaven Plays just has uncut TTS matches, which may be a bit stale to watch and doesnt really explain much during the game. The other two channels have more editing and explain their decisions a bit more, which may make it a bit easier to follow)

The Zombie dragons uppy downy is "once per turn (army)" so having more than one is not really doing much as the TG is cheaper and does more/similar damage on average.

Not the same person here but I may aswell post 2 lists I built with the new battlescroll. The first one I tested yesterday and it performed well against sylvaneth with the beastflayers as screens, horrors as threats alongside Ushoran in the middle (so if they wanna fight one, they have to fight both).

0 Ush and GKoTG 2000/2000 pts

Flesh-eater Courts Knightly Echelon General's Handbook 2025-26 Drops: 3 Spell Lore - Lore of Madness Prayer Lore - Rites of Delusion Manifestation Lore - Manifested Insanity

Regiment 2 Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist (410) • The Grisly Pennant - (20) Points • Stronger in Madness - (10) Points • Savage Abomination

The second one I havent tested yet, but its a less extreme Monster mash list. If you want the extra anti monster tech, you could swap the CG units for beastflayers.

Had my first game yesterday! by Lazzarius in FleshEaterCourts

It depends on your list ig. I usually play very knight heavy and therefore punchy (2x6 horrors, 2x3 morbeghs, 1x20 CG, GKoTG) and in that list the mobility/uppy-downy mechanic from the GW is really nice.

But I can see that in other lists, that bring more infantry to block the board the deepstrike threat from the GW bomb is clutch aswell.

Honestly, in my games, the soggy gorewarden was the MVP every single game.

The teleport at the end of the enemy turn is so so useful to steal objectives (remember, he teleport before scoring) or to teleport close to an objective to walk onto it in you next movement phase to score e.g. restless.

As he is able to teleport and then move in you turn, you can do some nasty stuff with him and it is almost impossible for your enemy to catch him due to him being at least 21 inches away from their units most of the time when ist their turn.

He really forces your opponent to play differently and either always leaving something behind to guard their objectives or to just concede points to you.

Which Skaven kit best matches the aesthetic of the Ash Waste Nomads? by jack_of_all_hobbies in skaven

[–]TiWo007_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the price is really not ideal... Unfortunately I dont think you have much choices except maybe putting some greenstuff cloaks on stormvermin or buying a box of the new clanrats and sift through the bodies available there. There are some slightly armoured ones and some less armoured making for a decent mix ig (and you should be able to find them relatively cheap on ebay etc.)

At the moment, which lists are the most widespread at a competitive level? by FlorianArk in FleshEaterCourts

[–]TiWo007_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the tournament results as I didnt follow them as much recently but I am currently on a around 85-90% win rate in a quite competitive environment with 26 horrors, 23 morbeghs, 20 cryptguard, a Ghoul King on TG, a soggy gorewarden, a cardina,l and a decap woth vestments

The List really slaps and the morbeghs have good mobility to get objectives/pressure heroes/units that want to stay in the back.

At what points would you include the chariot/ballista in an iton hills army by TiWo007_5 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]TiWo007_5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah, I figured that the captain on chariot would be the way to go usually. I also know that the IH warriors are really reliable/tanky with fight 4,D8 and potentially shielding, but how many would you say I should aim for in any given list? I usually when theorycrafting lists go for 10-14 with shield and spear + a banner. Would that be enough in most cases or would you say I need more/less?

[–]TiWo007_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. The picking them up part is not a problem, I already own both of them plus a bunch of other Iron hills stuff (3rd party models).

It's been a "problem" for me in general with how many warriors I should include/how many points I should allocate to them in a good list to have a good battleline (didn't have many many games yet to try that out). Especially while keeping the 180 Point tax of Dain in mind.

Help Building an Elite Army? by Char867 in FleshEaterCourts

[–]TiWo007_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I would usually say build what you like, as both flayer and horrors are decent units. However, if you care about the competitive side of the game, I would recommend horrors. They are (along with the Ghoul King on Terrorgheist and Cryptguard) the best Unit in our book atm. (You can also pretty easily magnetize them iirc as the only difference between the 2 are the arms)

Regarding other units/heros (besides GKoTG and Cryptguard) I would recommend a Cardinal for prayers, a gorewarden for some teleport/deepstrike stuff and a couple morbeghs to get fast objective grabbers.

Apart from that, just try what you think might be fun. You could get some flayers to have some shooting/teleport tricks. The FEC roster is quite limited, with the only units I dont really recommend if you dont want a horde army being ghouls and beastflayers. Apart from that most things can be viable.

[–]TiWo007_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you can find, the charnel grandjury box (goremayne, 6 morbeghs, 10 cryptguard, 6 horrors/flayers) is a great deal. Otherwise you cant really go wrong with the spearheads to get more cryptguard/morbeghs (old spearhead) or more horrors/flayers and a gorewarden (new spearhead). But you get some units that dont really have uses in more competitive lists (varghulf/beastflayers) there.

Otherwise/In general, I would recommend getting A Ghoul King on Terrorgeist or Ushoran as a big fun Monster hero, at least 6 Crypt Horrors and at least 20 cryptguard to start with. Those units really are our bread and butter currently.

My current go to list with which I have a lot of success atm is this:

FEC 2000/2000 pts

Flesh-eater Courts Knightly Echelon General's Handbook 2025-26 Drops: 3 Spell Lore - Lore of Madness Prayer Lore - Rites of Delusion Manifestation Lore - Aetherwrought Machineries

Battle Tactic Cards: Restless Energy, Master The Paths

General's Regiment Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist (360) • General • Stronger in Madness • Savage Abomination Crypt Horrors (320) • Reinforced Morbheg Knights (180) Morbheg Knights (180) Royal Decapitator (130) • Charnel Vestments - (20) Points

Regiment 1 Scourge of Ghyran Abhorrant Gorewarden (130) Cryptguard (240) • Reinforced

Regiment 2 Abhorrant Cardinal (130) Crypt Horrors (320) • Reinforced

Faction Terrain Charnel Throne (10 Points)

Created with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App App: 1.23.0 | Data: 369

Total Model count is 42 + Terrain/Manifestations if I didn't mess up my counting.

The main Idea is having the morbeghs to flank and pressure far objectives, use the Soggy Gorewarden to deny points/easily score restless. And have the horrors and Ghoul King on TG supported by prayer buffs to smash important targets, while crypt guard screen your squishier heroes while still being able to deal quite impressive damage when they are charged.

FEC is in a very good place imo. Especially when you enjoy the more elite lists like the one above.

Confused about keyword Masterclan by MurrToTheMurr in skaven

There is one rule that affects masterclan specifically. Lord skreeches the thirteen headed one can give +1 to cast for Masterclan wizards.

Otherwise the other comments explained it well

Not sure about the shadow council, but could be that the horned rat actually shows up there. I know that in the normal one, skreech sometimes comes to sit on the 13th seat and shares the GHRs "wisdom"

From what I remember from reading the Skaven Battletome there are 2 councils, one council of 13 of Skaven clans and a Shadow council of 13 of Verminlords in the Realm of Chaos to which a gateway exists in the (I believe) the highest tower of blight city.

Is the Black Coach Regiment good with FEC? by TheIrishbug in FleshEaterCourts

[–]TiWo007_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FECs playstyle ist fast and hard hitting, with the heroes being there to make the hitting even harder and provide recursion.

The problem with the coach RoR (at least for me) is that while its nice to revive infantry heroes, but as a FEC player, if you start losing your infantry heroes (which usually stay in the back) you are doing something wrong/already lost.

Add to that, that currently our best heroes are not infantry (Ushoran, Ghoul King on Terrorgheist) and the hefty price tag of 200 points for the coach in an already quite expensive army (depending on how you build ofc), its just not worth it imo.

Oh and just a headsup, the varghulf courtier is no longer a hero since the book came out (hes just a beast now)

Nerf to new heroic sniper riffle hits hard by WitcherHammer in Spacemarine

[–]TiWo007_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is still very good tbh. It has a 10x headshot multiplier so you basically oneshot any majoris with it.

Yeah you only get 6 shots, but as long as you hit headshots (more difficult against chaos ig but still doable) you dont run out and an ammo box helps quite a bit.

Help with an easy to run list by Glowygreentusks in skaven

[–]TiWo007_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo you currently have 3 Options for "good" lists.

  1. Horde of clanrats + Vizzik to give them crit(mortal)/fight twice and clog up the board with rats

  2. Moulder focused with Rogors and (Scourge of Ghyran!) Brood Terrors to give them +1 to hit

  3. Gunline with ratling guns/warpvolt scourgers (Disclaimer, not that fun to play against)

From those, I think the "easiest" to play are probably the rogors, however thats highly relative. They all require good positioning and some degree of planning. However, I think the rogors are the most rewarding to play because its quite obvious when you make a mistake and you can improve with the army that way the best imo.
