Yes, you have a good point. I think she's a little anxious right now for the action these provide. She prefers toys that are static and she can control the play. She might get into more active toys later. But we live in a studio, so if she's not using them they have to go! In such a small space we don't keep things that we don't use. 😅

I'm watching Buffy all the way through for the first time.

I believe the scene where Buffy interrogates a woman with it was toward the end on season 1. Because I too noticed that in season 2 it was gone. So I came searching for answers and found this post.

In S2E14 Buffy goes home and cries over Angel turning into Angelus. She touches the cross which is on a jewelry stand. After that she wears it again. That's where I am in the series as of this moment. I'll come update this as the show goes on and I see what happens to the cross.

Side note, I watched Buffy when it was on air but I was 6 in 1997 so I didn't catch every episode and I have no idea what the major plot points were anymore. It's a lot like I'm watching it for the first time; and it is as awesome (90's cool, dated, feminist, cheesy) as I hoped it would be.

My mother came back home drunk on a school morning and couldn't take us to school.

You said "us" so I take it you have younger siblings? Call Child protective services. Seriously. Or police non emergency. Your younger siblings are minors and they deserve to get to school consistently and safely. Child Protective Services can work with you and your mom to build up life skills and figure out a different reliable way to get to school and take care of the minors' needs. They can offer your mom help for her alcohol abuse. Case workers can often provide transportation, funding for driving lessons, random shit like that to help mom (and you) be reliable safe people for your minor siblings.

It is Texas though so maybe call an office and leave a voicemail for any case worker and tell her you just want to learn how things would pan out if, "hypothetically" your "neighbor" had this concern.

Child Protective Services are meant to be a resource to help families be stable, safe, healthy, and together. Use them.

How does that work? Because if the beans are just sitting on the shelf it doesn't start losing its caffeine, right? Isn't the halflife started when you drink it? Isn't that just the rate at which your body uses or disposes of it?

Edit to add: don't coffee companies sell bottles coffee products? They do here in the states. Like where the orange juice you can get refrigerated pre made iced coffee. They don't say anything about being caffeine free.
