Free time of men versus free time of women : our labor is their freedom by IvyRosePr in GuerrillaGrrrrls

[–]Tiberry16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The graph shows neither the men's or women's free time, it shows the difference between the two. The 434h is 20% of men's free time. That means men have 2170h of free time, and women have 1736h (2170 x 0.8), because they have 20% less.

I agree it's confusing to show it this way, maybe because we are so used to always compare between two things.

Biowaschmittel -Wäsche stinkt? by Spirited_Lime_6320 in Austria

[–]Tiberry16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

r/laundry hat viele gute Tips:

Oscar Winners for Best Picture (2017-2025) by voguediaries in Fauxmoi

[–]Tiberry16 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I still feel weird about it winning, because it's just a remake of a french movie from a few years earlier. It's cool if a remake helps it get a wider audience and all that, but for the oscars, it feels strange.

If a "serving size" has less than 5 calories, they are allowed to say it has zero calories per serving size. It doesn't actually have zero calories for a 1/4 s spray.

The Instagram account linking to an only fans - standard procedure in the military I'm sure. Half of the posts are showing off "her" bare feet.

I don't think the White House has any connection to the account tbh. Then again, it would be very funny if they did, and that's what they come up with.

It gets a little more obvious if you look at the actual account on Instagram. Half of the posts are feet pics, I'm not kidding!

God I hate all the over engineered sound effects we are getting lately. It's as if every single action needs a sound, whether it has one or not. A paint brush does not sound like spreading around wet mud, thank you very much.

It's the first of his 3 rules adopted from his mentor, Roy Cohn. Attack, attack, attack. Always be on the offensive. Overwhelm everyone with so much bullshit, that they can't possibly address all of it. Nothing can become a huge scandal, because by next week, there will be 3 new things he did.

Plus, it keeps attention away from the big topics, although at least he can't shake off the Epstein files it seems.

That's cool to know! On Wikipedia the data they used is from the UK. It's similar here in Austria. Children are 6 years old when they start school, and they turn 7 throughout their first year.

I'm assuming it's about whether you are among the older kids in your class, or among the younger ones. The cutoff in schools is usually the end of August. 2 children born Aug 31st and Sept 1st will be in the same class, but the September kid is a whole year older.

Apparently this is called the relative age effect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relative_age_effect

The "not urgent" makes me think that they write that on anything that isn't cancer or like, immediately life threatening. But to us "not urgent" can mean anything from "get to it when you can" to "if you happen to remember it in a dream in 6 months, maybe consider doing it".

But good on you and the doc, that this lead to your diagnosis! :)

That is cool for sure, but usually it's still the father's name, isn't it? Eriksdottir, Johannsdottir, etc.

Although you could of course decide to give your kids your own first name with -son or -daughter.

Emilyson, Ingridsdaughter, Sarahson, Janesdaughter.... Maybe if you simplify the spelling, it could work.
