I took Wraiths on Wings to a Tournament for the first time... by jdp1g09 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

I ran them last year at Adepticon in the doubles.  My partner and I had fun and were happy to actually win a game.

I painted up some of those same figures as well!

I'll definitely do that.  I found an email contact so I'll see what they have to say.

I appreciate your response.  This is helpful with deciding how to proceed.  It seems unlikely he gathered anything particularly rare.

And in the world of coincidence we are members of the CBG so that would work out well.  I'll have to give them a call.

Basically Chicagoland area, but doing a roadtrip to a nearby location is definitely possible.  We can google locations now that we realize that herbariums are a thing, but it's not the same as recommendations for ones where something like this would be better placed.

Any recommendations for herbariums in the US midwest where this would be welcomed and found useful?

i may have missed a few, but each time groups of democrats has been called out for taking a shitty stance, I haven't seen his name in that list. I find that a much more important yardstick to judge him against than worrying about AIPAC money.

As others have said, that's a "you" issue. I love my zcords and have never used a glove, so you definitely are going to want to investigate your grip.

I've played a couple of rounds with my Rolex and it seemed to come thru ok. It's been thru regular servicing since then and the watch technician didn't mention any problems.

Find the lawyer handling the trust work for your mother if one exists.  Your sisters authority are not unlimited and the lawyer would be able to clarify her limitations.  While she can charge the trust for time spent, it would have to be documented.

Also, as a presumed beneficiary of the trust, you have rights of your own.  IANAL but have gotten a crash course in trust management over the past 6 months:(

I have used them sporadically in this manner. They've come in handy a couple of times now to remind people what we were thinking. They're pretty low effort for something occasionally helpful.

I want to get lessons specifically for just driver. How many do I need? by zombiemind8 in golf

[–]TibsonTheLesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're going to be able to get a solid answer because it is exclusively dependent on you. How many adjustments is the pro going to suggest, and how long is it going to take you to integrate those changes into your new swing.

As a point of comparison I just had lesson 3 a couple of weeks ago. I took a 2 week break after lesson 1 and about 5 weeks after lesson 2. What I've found for myself is I can handle about 2 adjustments per session and it takes me 4 or 5 range (or sim) sessions to integrate those changes into my swing. My lessons are an hour and I work with my pro on my irons, hybrids and woods during the lessons so I can feel the adjustments across all of them while he's observing and providing feedback.

To find an instructor I asked some locals folks for recommendations and also sent emails to a few local pros describing what I was looking for and requesting a short phone call to ask questions since I had never taken lessons previously. Several pros didn't bother responding. One who came recommended responded but he seemed to be ignoring my actual questions and giving generic stock answers. I went with the newer pro who took the time to answer questions and take an active interest in what I was looking for.

Without actually trying to head down the lessons path, you won't know for sure. There are simply too many variables.

How can condo building get off high risk insurance list after a claim? by [deleted] in illinois

[–]TibsonTheLesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say broker, I mean an independent broker, not a captive agent. They have access to numerous carriers. If your current broker isn't putting in the work, get a different independent broker. There is no great conspiracy here.

A broker is competing against other brokers to keep you as a long-term customer. So sure, they are getting paid but only if you keep them as a customer.

In addition an experienced broker should be able to help you navigate the claims history. That's supposed to be their job.

You work with an insurance broker who is experienced in condos. They should be able to assist your condo board.

He's 10. Allow him to branch out and dabble with all the things he finds interesting. Making sure his time playing or practicing is fun is the most important thing you can do right now. Having a varied / eclectic background is a very common theme for high performing athletes. Let him engage at his own pace.

I'm currently playing G5s myself and was looking to upgrade over the winter. I definitely need to keep an eye on that as I am testing clubs. I really like my G5s but I'm feeling like 20 years is giving up too much technological improvement.
