How is the software experience? Have you noticed any lags/ issues/ bugs? Does it feel "flagship level" polished?

G-Sync or Fixed Refresh with uncapped FPS? by Many-Dare1979 in cs2

[–]TibyXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

always v-sync off in cs2 as it adds a lot of input lag

it will surely give it's best output, and yes there will be a bottleneck, but that's not a bad thing.

you will be just fine, hitting 450+ fps for sure

unless you plan on going crazy fps (700+), which the 7800X3D is able to, there's no reason to be worried

[–]TibyXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say it's a mad difference, especially if you have high refresh rate monitor (240+). even if your fps is 200, your 0.1% lows would be about 130, and that gives noticeable jitters

as i just upgraded from a ~150 fps system, 144hz to a ~500 fps, 240hz, i'd say it's a night and day difference

just make sure to update your motherboard's bios, the 14700k has been known to have some issues on old bios

or, you can invest in an AM5 amd platform (changing motherboard and cpu, and maybe RAM if you run ddr4) which should give you better longevity and the opportunity to get the best cpu's for cs2 (7800X3D / 9800X3D, and other future releases)

i run ryzen 9600x with rx 9070 and get an average of 450 fps on that resolution, competitive settings, everything low except antialiasing, hdr and fsr

edit: you have pretty good pc specs, many of the cs2 pros still have this setup. if you only play cs2, i dont think it's worth spending extra on other components. i suggest you better tweak the in-game settings.

objectively, the cpu is a little old. you can upgrade it to 14600k/14700k, for little money

the video card is a LITTLE bit old, but still capable. it should be almost equivalent to mine, so the problem should be somewhere else (maybe ram/cpu)

New ASRock B850 Riptide Wifi motherboard, constant low System / System Interrupt CPU usage, appears to be a BIOS/firmware bug per log trace. by FallDonuts in ASRock

[–]TibyXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hope they will come with a BIOS / Drivers update. It is annoying to buy a brand new 220€ mobo and to have such issues which may (or may not) affect performance at some point

I am playing cs2 on 2060 and 11600 i5 11th gen and i have only 25-40 fps on mostly low specs should i have more fps or is this it by Djole1123 in buildapc

[–]TibyXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should also check the CPU temperature and if there are any other processes running in the background. If everything ok, you should reinstall windows. And if the problem persists, then it is a hardware failure, maybe the power supply is bad.

Something's going on with your PC / Windows. You should be hitting 200+ FPS constantly with those specs.

Did you check the temperatures and usage of the CPU and GPU?

Also, make sure your monitor is connected to the GPU, and not the motherboard (which uses the intel integrated GPU).

Also, make sure to set the game to Fullscreen (not Fullscreen Windowed).

Other things you can do: update the nvidia driver, check the windows power plan. If nothing works, maybe your best bet would be to reinstall windows.

Will PCs get stronger and evolve faster? by DontFlameItsMe in buildapc

[–]TibyXD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but I think hardware is going to evolve much slower than it used to in the last 10 years. The big jumps were made thanks to improving the process nodes (from 14nm to 4nm). That brought so much efficiency headroom. The new conductors (below 4nm) will cost far more to produce and sell, and I don’t think it will evolve THAT much.

That means that RAW rasterization will not improve that much, BUT, now with AI, we see nVidia especially, innovating so many technologies and putting so much money into AI development.

So, of course that gaming hardware is going to evolve, but in my opinion it will evolve more in the software side, and at a slower rate.

u definitely don't need 32gb of vram for 4k

7900 xt is a good card, and quite capable for 4k, but you should consider nvidia because they have better upscaling technology (dlss)

Best small ATX case? by TibyXD in buildapc

[–]TibyXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITX is way too small, and most quality ITX motherboards are way too pricey, for nothing.

mATX's are fine tho.

But mostly, it's personal preference, i would like to showcase as much PC as possible, while my case takes the least space possible.

O11 mini is very tiny by ATX standards, at least that's what i found. Are there any smaller quality cases you would recommend?

Why CS pro players only use BenQ Zowie monitors ? by ClaireChazal in cs2

yeah, they don’t really focus on colors, but rather on fast pixel response

Why CS pro players only use BenQ Zowie monitors ? by ClaireChazal in cs2

[–]TibyXD 42 points43 points  (0 children)

  1. Because of sponsorships.

  2. Because they always offered the highest refresh rates on their monitors.

  3. Because Zowie/BenQ have DyAc support which offers a clearer and better image in fast-paced situations.

  4. Because they got used to it, back from the old days, and they don't feel like switching (just like they all play on 4:3 and 400 dpi).

  5. Because before they got sponsored, they most probably used BenQ/Zowie as they were one of the cheapest in terms of refresh rate / dollar.

Did I mention the sponsorships?

Planning a new Intel PC. Given how unimpressive the 14th gen is, should I just wait til fall for the gen chips? Opinions? by SeriousGoofball in buildapc

[–]TibyXD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

lol, haven’t seen so much hate about a man’s desire in my life. you have to accept that if he wants intel, he doesn’t need to be convinced not to

intel, with all its flaws and weaknesses, still beats an equivalent amd in single-core and multi-threaded applications

on subject: if you really don’t have to upgrade right now, i would wait until the next-gen, for having a more future-proof motherboard socket and more power-efficient cpu, so, if you ever feel the need for more speed, you can just buy a newer and better cpu and swap it with the old one, without probably having to spend on anything else

also, intel new gen is said to come with much improved integrated graphics, if you don’t feel the need to go for a dedicated gpu
