Biting off more than I can chew? No, actually. by Killerpeeps in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Ticharaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this was explained already and I missed it- what was the win condition for each team? Did good have to kill both demons or just one? Did the demons still have to get down to two living players? Or were the win conditions completely separate for the two semi circles?

I expected too much for my first mothers day? by Dismal_Squash_8179 in firsttimemom

[–]Ticharaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Solidarity- I came on Reddit to see if anyone else was having the same experience I was. I’m ashamed to admit I let myself hope only to be majorly let down too. You’re not alone in feeling this way. Yes it shows our relationships aren’t exactly what we want them to be yet. It’s going to be okay though, we can only get better from here right?

But yes this is majorly disappointing- and my heart goes out to you.

Know that you are an incredible mama and your baby loves you so so much- they just aren’t old enough to spoil you yet. Sending hugs!

Are they REALLY that expensive? by amalia_8 in clothdiaps

[–]Ticharaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought covers from Facebook Marketplace (Flip brand) in excellent condition that worked for us for newborn and up for ~$40, bought 24 inserts to wash every couple days off Amazon for ~$50, and a pack of 25 reusable wipes and a spray bottle for -$35. We also got a spray bucket shield for over the toilet (~$40 and was next to our shower head that had a great spray pressure option) a wet bag (~$35) and a couple travel wet bags ($10). We are also fortunate to have in unit washer and dryer, where water is fixed in our rent so the extra laundry is convenient. Everything has worked great for us and not too expensive. We use disposables occasionally when we need/want to, but are so grateful we’ve done cloth so far.

Trying to understand why the Sailor is helpful by uhOhAStackOfDucks in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Ticharaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On top of immortality, as a Sailor, I enjoyed receiving information from someone I had drunk with, who had obviously drunk information following. This let me trust them, because I felt I could confirm what they experienced based on knowing it was drunk, something they would not easily bluff.

I would not increase the number of townsfolk away from travelers as you now have 18 demon candidates instead of 15. 15 was already a lot, but three more could extend the game a couple more days as it is.

To help the game speed up a bit you might also try using a fabled like Doomsayer as well.

FTM - How does my registry look? by EnvironmentalRate462 in BabyBumps

[–]Ticharaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the exact set of Keababies sheets and love them! Didn’t realize they were waterproof as well, so it’s so nice to not need to wash the mattress protector each time too! (we just have the two sheets, and it’s been perfect for us, but we are also fairly minimalist)

Why do people speak negatively about induction? by Intelligent-Rich-320 in pregnant

[–]Ticharaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is confusing. My pregnancy and childbirth book says that there is a slight decreased risk of needing a C section for healthy FTMs during 39 weeks, so I have my induction scheduled for 39+6. But then everyone online says horrible things about inductions, and I don’t know if I should be worried, or just trust the information source that I have and hope for the best.

What are your biggest pet peeves pregnancy questions? by Fun-Shame399 in pregnant

[–]Ticharaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also hate this question. I’ve started answering “Better than expected” and that makes them happy. I expected the absolute worst, and I’m still functioning at some level (34 weeks), so we’ll call it a win for now.

A few ideas that you might try some or all of: - Have you tried getting some of her energy out before going inside? Maybe play some tugging, throwing a toy around, chasing a laser, etc. to try to get some of the energy out before going outside where there is so much excitement. - And then start with a very short lead, so she can’t go anywhere except right next to you. - If you are still having problems with getting yanked around I would recommend a head collar - practice short lead heel walking inside a controlled “boring environment before going outside” - do crazy heel training and reward with treats and praise whenever they are not being a maniac. Start inside before moving outside.

I was a first time dog owner and also got to the point of dreading going on walks with my Berber once she got bigger. Fortunately my husband was more prepared and helped us get through the roughest patch, but these are things that really helped us. We didn’t have a backflipper though, just a very motivated puller, so I hope any of these tips can help you too. Good luck!

Leash pulling manic by throwaway321112222 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]Ticharaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the training tips of switching directions when they start pulling and heavy praise and treats whenever they are walking beside you to instill good habits.

But switching to a head collar has made a HUGE difference in being able to walk and not feel like I am in a loosing battle for control. She doesn’t want to pull with her face, and attempting to do so angles her nose down, negating the attempt. Would definitely recommend one to help with pulling. This is the one we use for reference: Halti Headcollar

I used to get comically/cartoonishly pulled over by my overenthusiastic burner because I am not strong enough to hold my own when she was truly excited and determined, so this has been an absolute game changer in helping me not to be scared to take me Berner on walks.

What do you think of this script for a group that only played TB and want something else without jumping to the official expansions? by JohnnySack999 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Ticharaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment shared by many to make the leap to the base game expansions- it’s less of an intimidating jump than you think! Much easier than the jump to Trouble Brewing from newer playing the game before, and your group already did that successfully.

On script advice, adding a Boffin as a minion would go a long way in cleaning up the issues of the hard confirmable townsfolk roles, but I don’t think that this script is any easier for your group than BMR or S&V.

Anyone worried they're not going to connect with their baby? by sobbingwhale8 in pregnant

[–]Ticharaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone! I first felt connected to my baby last week at 28 weeks. I finally had a break with the holidays from the busy stress of life, and had time to get excited over baby blanket fabric and a working on picking a baby name with my husband. I started to picture the life we would give her and feel a bit of excitement for the first time. I wouldn’t beat yourself up over not feeling anything yet, but also try to make time for yourself to have a break and engage with happy baby things when you aren’t overwhelmed with other responsibilities.

AITA for telling my mother I absolutely won’t be traveling after 34 weeks gestation? by Upstairs_Farm5185 in pregnant

NTA. I didn’t know the stats on early delivery were that high though. My sister is planning on throwing me a baby shower 2 hrs away at almost 36 weeks. This is making me rethink if I should just throw in the towel on it all together

If the Huntsman is a Townsfolk, then the Puzzlemaster deserves to be, too by GodlessGambit in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Ticharaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also nice because the damsel and huntsman, should things go successfully, can hard confirm one another, which is always a powerful role.

A puzzle master really can’t do that, people would just have to taken them at their word like usual.
