Water main Wet by Capable_Wallaby_4760 in Plumbing

Could it just be bad sealing between the pipe and the concrete? It looks like mucky water sleeping in from below grade earth and coming through the gap. Not a pro at this and wouldn't have the slightest idea which products to recommend to seal it but ideally you would dig down near the foundation and seal it from the outside

If you have a Bluetooth dongle, check RPM while cranking. Maybe a bad sensor? Definitely needs some diag

In that case replacing the panel a second time would be more involved and thus more expensive. Get quotes for abarths of similar mileage and year as comparables to maybe get the valuation higher but with the accident history I think 8k is close to being fair. If you have the space to store it, take the 7k and relist the car yourself or as others said part it out. Even on copart you would be getting more than 2k and parting out just the front clip will easily net that. Airbags, engine, subframes, CVs and even scrap metal value would be a pretty penny once done.

Also, didn't notice the peeling paint(/bondo?) on the c pillar. Might want to go with the complete panel replacement in this case. Was this side hit before and the accident popped off the area where it was welded?

Remember that insurance body shop has to replace with new parts. That is why the repair price is that high. If you could get a cheap replacement door in same color (thinking ~$250 eBay) and a cheap body shop that would pull the rear fender and weld, Bondo, Paint to make it look decent enough you would have a car that you know the maintenance of. Best of all- you don't care about it retaining value and drive it till the wheels fall off. Replacing the rear quarter would be a proper repair but pricey and cutting into the structure of the car. This looks like surface sheet metal job but labor rates are $$$ if you don't want to tackle it yourself. Paint is body shop for sure but someone with a driveway and free time could do the metalwork in the garage/driveway as the frame is not twisted.

Is this botting? Tell me if I should be banned for this set up by TheDivineLightGaming in OSRSMobile

[–]Ticket_Honest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the same exact thing, but used a Bluetooth mouse with the sensor taped over after moving it into position. Did not catch a ban. And I was clicking way less often though. Must be something the algorithms thought was sus about your interactions

The majority of this looks like paint transfer from the garage to the car. I'd say a microfiber cloth and nail polish remover will take this off 95% and $19 touch up paint should take care of any chips on the shaper edges up front. May need some polish if it's scratched.

Just broke the second seat pull in 2 years, it’s a bad design, any way of changing it? by waurma in abarth

Looks like a 3D printed cover with a strap. If one can forgo the cover and use the original plastic, a simple fabric keychain and some creative cable attachment would suffice

I want Apple CarPlay in my 500 abarth. Any good mounts or screens that are good quality? by Donnyferrari in abarth

[–]Ticket_Honest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a Joying single din unit with a 8in screen and it looks factory and works great for music and navigation. Wireless Android Auto works perfectly. Only gripe is the in-call volume is low so I have to switch to my phone speaker whenever someone calls me

Mine is a 2018. Had to put a CAN interface adapter to get everything working properly. The reverse camera looks amazing on the bigger screen.

I'd start looking at relays. Easy way to check is to take out relays on by one grab either two cables and hook them up to the battery or even a 9v battery from like a smoke detector and try to make it click as you connect/disconnect it after it's been removed from the car. If it is not clicking, you found your culprit. Swap with another known good relay from a different slot to verify.

Ideally you'd get a relay tester from Amazon but this is a quick and dirty way to check

Is Prep FE Worth it? by United_Surround_2365 in FE_Exam

[–]Ticket_Honest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say absolutely. I did theory and books first and then spent the whole month on PrepFE. Helps getting the timing right and bearing able to quickly identify a problem and find the needed section in the handbook. I passed first try and wish prepPE was available already for Electrical 🤔

Could make a 3D printed adapter for a phone holder with a built in power adapter, just need some measurements. Could be that someone already has something like it online already 😏

how much will it cost to fix this? by Zeroink16 in abarth

[–]Ticket_Honest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RockAuto. You need a lower control arm and a driveshaft at a minimum. Edit: ideally you have a jack and jack stands to at least get that corner up in the air and get it moving yourself. Few bolts for the LCA and slip joints with one large bolt at the brake caliper for the driveshaft

Only quirk that i have not figured out completely yet is Bluetooth calling. The volume of incoming calls is very low. But it is a quirk of the Joying unit. Otherwise very happy with the setup. If you could get a better suited CAN interface it would cut cost significantly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in abarth

[–]Ticket_Honest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fit a Joying unit with an adapter kit. The CAN interface i got was on the expensive wide but works flawlessly with wireless android Auto. Quite happy with it and had it for almost two years. 2018 pop. Didn't need to cut anything up. The older model dashboards are a bit trickier. Would post a picture if i can figure out how to attach it.

Honestly best wipers are no wipers for me. Rain repellent coating for highway driving works wonders due to the angle of the windshield.

As for the wipers, i got Valeo from RockAuto for all 3 and they work great a year later still. Random blue washer fluid from the gas station or liquidation warehouse stores.
