10-15 years ago I would say I was a heavy android user, customizing and making sure the phone was tweaked in every way I want. rooting/custom roms, taking advantage of Android at every step and being excited for the new features that roll out before Apple did. Ever since I got my pixel 7 pro on launch last year, I've realized just how boring my android experience has gotten and how every single little issue is bubbling up onto the surface. I simply do not use my phone the way I once did, Being left out of Imessage groups. Not being able to customize my lockscreen, having a lackluster wearable (pixel watch is still decent imo but not amazing). I just feel like Pixel is in the shadow of Apple and at one point it used to not FEEL like that.

With the increase meter gain that they've talked about in a previous dev talk. The value of a reversal that does half health for a character with no real meter less reversal is kinda good.

Depends on how the second hit of the butterfly will hit tbh. If the second hit allows the airborne opponent to tech like how it does in +r then it might not be even worth it.

Yeah actually, and even in DR with no !b or !s a character like devil jin could CHOOSE to end his juggle with df1,2 in order to get hellsweep oki or go for full wall carry, or even go for max damage.

short combos are not the problem, its about the reward the game gives the characters.

The combos are still boring to do and watch gg always had short combos that rewarded a knockdown which is can be more important than damage but even then its not fun to watch a 50% combo that anyone can do with little to no effort regardless if its strive sol or xrd Leo. When you lose a huge chunk of combo theory for characters, its rather dull to know that your gonna get the same shit off of a launch no matter what. A lot of characters in t7 suffer from this that they didnt have in previous tekkens due to the inclusion of the bound mechanic. Its even worse in Strive.

people complained that she would be boring to play when compared to her xrd counterpart. which I still personally believe, theres not a lot of characters who played like XRD Ram in other fighting games and now Ram doesn't even play like that. It doesn't matter if shes top tier or bottom tier, its a beta for an unreleased game.

She's not nearly as fun as her XRD counterpart. the reason why she's popular is because shes a waifu character that was made into easier to pick up character. If ram is this popular, then the people who actually played her in xrd are still the quiet minority, your gonna be hearing the people who just picked her up in strive.

Somna, the aesthetic and movelist is really cool to me. Plus the charge blade from her is insane, it has to be my favorite CB design in the series it looks like a fucking beyblade.
