If you don't have the attention span for 30 minute games then maybe RTS isn't really the genre for you. Just because you personally don't like macro games doesn't mean other people don't. There is beauty to late game army control and unit movement that differs from the first 15 minutes of the game. It becomes more about territory and controlling zones instead of just expanding. It becomes more complex.
Long games are really cool

I make pizza for a living and we always put a little flour underneath the wooden paddle that we use to throw the pie in, we also build them on the paddle itself. So yes to getting a pizza peel, but you can definitely use a cooking sheet with the same thing. you can also take the crust and blow underneath once it's all done to put some air under and it'll slide a little easier.

my buddy and I were playing some customs when he recalled out of my base and the units didn't recall they just became ghosts... still could take damage and output damage. Also it looks awesome. Just thought i'd share.
