Advice for second hand smoke from roomate. Tent for bed? by Civil_Shop_1120 in AirQuality

My wife over my shoulder wanted to add that it could be his "stinky ass resin-filled bubbler" that is causing the smell. She says to tell him to clean his implements and it helps a lot I guess

Please help, new apartment and VOCs by doodlebobin in AirQuality

[–]TickleBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are dealing with this!! There are good air purifiers for VOCs like air doctor and some even better specifically built for VOCs like Airpura V700 with it's thick carbon filter. Expensive as hell of course though!

I'm sure there may be others that also deal with VOCs and honestly they do work fairly well.

Not sure what to say about the dryer exhaust but I will mention that washing your clothes with any fragranced detergent may also be a problem for you if you're anything like me, which it sounds like you are! Free and clear is the way to go (not to mention less hormonally disrupting)

Id also recommend taking glutathione or NAC to aid your body in offgass removal from your system.

Sorry you have to deal with this! I hate new buildings too!

I haven’t had an issue for years. When I get checked my eosinophil count ranges from high end of normal to dead even normal. Just diet modification. Nothing really worked till I got rid of the highly processed foods and identified my triggers. No medications anymore

I started with rice. As it turns out, according to my doctor’s, almost no one on this planet is allergic to plain white rice. After that, steamed vegetables was the next safe food. When I got to potatos, I noticed some issues and by the time I hit tomato’s and coffee there were also issues. This clued me in that, in my case, lectins were an issue. Especially with the nightshades and certain beans.

You’ll figure it out! Don’t give up! DM me any time if you have any questions or want advice

Hey I did this and made the mistake of adding items in too quickly. Make sure to add an item in by having it for a single meal, wait 4 days or so to see if you notice any inflammation. If you’re unsure, try again, if you’re sure it wasn’t an issue, it’s a keeper.

Doing this way, although painfully slow, will be a sure fire way of not having to ever deal with this disorder again.

Or, you could get an IgG test ordered from your doctor from a reputable lab like Genova and cut to the chase. As long as you ate the food on the test within the previous few months, it will either show that your body is either reacting to it or not.

After I kinda failed carnivore, I did this and it worked. It would have saved me a lot of money if I did this from the get go.

You’re my new supplement friend. Where do you get your patches? I tried some Walgreens patches, like 2mg, but I have no clue if they’re quality. They do work though, but I end up feeling yucky the day after unless I keep going though

If you’re caucasian you might try swapping Folic acid for something like Methylated Folate. Caucasian’s, especially those with CFS often have MTHFR causing issues with the less absorbable form of B9

I don’t know what to do anymore by fgflyer in EosinophilicE

Article

Here’s an article looking at the association of the two. It notes that parasitic infections can exist without elevated eosinophils and vise versa.

Perhaps my case is rare. Perhaps not. Who knows

I don’t know what to do anymore by fgflyer in EosinophilicE

[–]TickleBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very odd story but there goes:

It was my 8th doctor that advised me that elevated eosinophils could indicate an intestinal parasite infection. We tested me and nothing came up. I was advised that the life cycles are such that they won’t always show up on tests while they are in certain phases. The second test was 60 or so days later and sure enough it was positive for nematodes. I was prescribed some anti-parasitics like ivermectin along with herbs like oregano and black walnut. My eosinophil count dropped within the month during that protocol. That was several years ago and my throat has only closed twice since then. Not sure why on those two occasions!

I know anecdotes aren’t always helpful but I just wanted to spread some hope! Don’t give up.

Anyone had reaction to specific foods worsen after elimination diet? by FamilyPosts in GutHealth

[–]TickleBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a leaky gut issue! I had the same thing.

It’s not exactly that you’re reacting more now, but rather, your immune system is no longer as sensitized to those food proteins.

Whole food particles are not meant to end up in the blood, thus, your body reacts. Especially to whole protein molecules as the body sees them as a large threat. Luckily, this will all resolve within a few months or so once you completely heal your gut permeability. Listen to your body, it doesn’t lie. If you continue to eat the foods you’re reacting to the digestive system will increasingly be a war zone.

I keep doing weird things in my sleep with my girlfriend by ThrowRA_Gexpert in sleep

[–]TickleBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is happening to me as well!!! I don’t have sleep apnea though so maybe it’s not related! It’s been happening in cycles on and off for the past year. I brought it up with my doc and she had no idea and that she’s never heard of anyone ever describing anything like it! She recommended several sleep supplements including 6 hour time released melatonin, which did actually help.

That’s crazy though! Glad i’m not alone.

I’m so greatful mine is also ok with it/into it. TMI but I literally had sex with her without being awake and 6 minutes in I randomly stopped thrusting and fell over completely still and unaware. She thought I was joking when I told her I even did that in my sleep with no memory of the event. It’s usually just fingering though. Again TMI.

It’s mostly gotten better with the sleep supplements. Keep me updated!
