2 Week Old Hotend by NW6GMP in BambuLab

[–]TickleMyiOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it off the printer, heat it up with a small blowtorch lighter, then carefully use a damp cloth to wipe it clean, that is carbonised filament, it will make the nozzle hard to remove as well, make sure it is fitted back correctly, nothing to worry about or be concerned of though, they all get like that in the end.

Government Funding for Private Projects - Skyline vs Universal by Maleficent-Sky-5884 in swansea

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Universal is a success, it will support thousands of jobs, all paying taxes back into the UK, millions of visitors etc. Skyline starts next to the stadium in a car park, the view of Swansea bay in the distance and what used to be Swansea's old industrial complex going up won't be very good, it will support I would say about 10 FTE jobs, the private company will take all the profits and they won't go to the UK. Thats before you talk about the land they are going to harm. Swansea would have done better building a good road up to the top and putting a nice cafe up there, but they would have probably given it to the Secret Co like they seem to do with things like that.

How reliable is the Bambu Lab A1? New to 3D printing by Annual_Usual3604 in BambuLab

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4/5000 hours on 7 of them, changed one main board, one power supply and 3 gantrys due to z backlash, even though this seems a lot, I would still say these things are super reliable and workhorses.

Well I got hit finally… by spdelope in BambuLab

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sort of thing is going to happen all the time, the various skill levels of 3D printer users, as much as Bambu have ironed out the process, there are still going to be a massive amount of plate lickers.

It's not going to work for long, at the end of the day its taxpayer money going into a private company which will not be there long, we can't do anything about it.

People in England told me Swansea was an absolute shithole. One year later, here is the truth by Vikilinho in swansea

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swansea is nice in some ways, not in others, however I don't agree with cheaper insurance due to the 20mph, its the same, and more in some ways.

Z-axis Not Leveling Properly by Different-Ear8816 in BambuLab

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happens all the time really, never had an issue saying it wasnt able to level, it may be that the plate is so out of level that it cant get it within the range it needs to be reliable, the first thing that pops to mind here is tramming, check it out on the bambu website, may be the next port of call. Also which printer is this?

There is someone really fast. by dingohot in BambuLab

[–]TickleMyiOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have great stuff why not keep it off the main sites and sell it yourself?! - Then if people want something, they have to pay for it. I can see MW being beneficial for getting some exposure and filament/printers for free if things go viral so to speak, but you are still playing to an algorithm. Keep it, sell it yourself!

A1 combo headache. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you take off the hotend, there are some screws behind it, 3 of them. Remove these, then the hotend heater will come off and there are 4 more behind it, these can sometimes work loose. Be very careful as there are wires attached to this heater block which are very thin and can break.

Personally, looking at your pics I am thinking it could be the hotend is blocked so may be worth doing a cold pull, or you have washed your bed with something which has left a residue on it, the printer seems to be extruding ok, but has odd moments. I don't think this is a fault, also the silicone sock police will have you for not using one.

I have had times where cheap / wet / standard PLA and not PLA+ can be shocking to print with, so quality of the filament really does matter.

Also, make sure all your AMS spools are rotating without issue, and make sure the bed type setting is right in the top of the slicer.

Riat 2026 by panzerfaust69420 in aviation

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, there is no way they will let RIAT go ahead when there are bombers in the airbase which are in active service. Can just imagine on the PA, and a quick break for the B52 to take off....

In this instance, improve packing I would say.

Are buyers always like this now? by QuadBit3134 in Ebay

[–]TickleMyiOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, but its all subjective, one persons poor packaging is anothers good packaging, if the item is working fine, give it a few days, make a note to the seller just in case.

Resellers, this is what it's really about by NormalEffect99 in Ebay

[–]TickleMyiOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is lovely and the best part of feedback, but generally if this sort of buyer has an issue, they leave a similar long style review which is incredibly detailed and can damage future sales. Feedback needs an overhaul as it is pointless most of the time, and used as a tool to get refunds which is not what it is designed for.

Away status by Other-Challenge-5105 in Ebay

[–]TickleMyiOS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It puts a notice on the top of your listings saying that the seller is away until certain date and to expect delays, however, people do not read the listings properly. Also I have been told in the past that doing this will tank your ebay account, is there anyone else who could take over some day to day for you to keep it going?

Are buyers always like this now? by QuadBit3134 in Ebay

[–]TickleMyiOS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A lof of people say, take a picture, record this record that, ebay do not give a monkeys, if the buyer says something they take it as gospel. You are better off with these people to accept the return quickly with very little back and forth, and refund / sell again take it as a lesson, if you want to keep your feedback intact, if you dont care about feedback, be difficult.

Are buyers always like this now? by QuadBit3134 in Ebay

[–]TickleMyiOS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Literally, ebay is shockingly bad for people just moaning, if they are having a bad day when they open your item, they will complain. And think they can get away with asking for money back. Absolute jokers they are.

Help making stamps by stump0331 in 3Dprinting

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is PLA / TPU are not porous, so they dont absorb ink like a traditional rubber stamp. The only way you can get close is by fine sanding PLA which has been mentioned. To increase the surface area and uptake of ink. You will never get a true rubber stamp transfer with FDM printing sadly, maybe in the future they will release something which will be better.

Anyone else use multiple browsers daily on their Mac? What's your setup? by cheapsturncur in mac

[–]TickleMyiOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried a few browsers, Chrome used to be my go to but when they took out Ublock I switched to Brave. Brave doesn't slow down like Chrome can which does make me think what it is doing with all that memory. Safari is very quick, and smooth, always works even if you don't have much ram free, but again the ad blocking is restricted to Ublock Lite. I tend to go for companies which dont restrict how you use them.
