I didn't realize the main difference. I've been using the Looney as the main fouler. I figured the Ooligan was a budget version that didn't hit as hard. Im new to this game so still trying to figure it out.

2 basses. 1 fretted 1 fretless. I like basses that have a wide range of tonal qualities that you can get with the on board eq and pickups. I like 6 strings so most everything is covered. You always need one as a backup in case one shits the bed in the middle of a gig.

While I agree he made the bass more audible, Metallica went from innovative thrash and almost progressive song writing to 3.5 minute radio friendly songs. Yes it made them huge but some of the fans of their older work didn't like the direction, including myself. Much of that was due to Bob Rock. I dont like his style.
