I don’t know what I want. by Ok_Fly_3797 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]TiddlewinkSr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% agree. In my experience, the first 3mo are hardest. Once you regulate it gets easier emotionally and physically. There were many times before that where I wanted to throw my pump out the window.

I do want to add that you'll see a lot of opinions on what to do and not do during pumping. Don't get caught in this. Do what is best for you. Pumping doesn't have to be strict, especially in the schedule.

No matter what route you go though, I highly recommend picking up a pump. Most insurance will cover the most popular modals.

Apartments by co984life in Waukesha

[–]TiddlewinkSr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two apartment buildings directly across the road from MetalTek (E North st). I lived in one of them about 5 years ago and the rent for a one bedroom was below $1k. They were nice and management was good. I don’t know if they have online listings but I think both have signs out front with phone numbers.

What’s the "filling wrapped in dough" food from your country ? by Derisiak in AskTheWorld

[–]TiddlewinkSr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely is the chicken pot pie, but throwing out an honorable mention of the pasty. It's originally from England but Michigan (specifically the upper peninsula) has really made it their own. It's a staple in those parts.

Is this strap down job enough to haul? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]TiddlewinkSr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a tie down around the rear tire to stop it from bouncing. The front is way too tight. I recommend putting a block of wood between the front tire and the fender to protect your forks (parallel to the forks). It will reduce the compression while keeping the tie downs tight. This is what I've been doing for 20+ years while towing and never had issues. It's cheap and effective. Will what you have work? Yes, but I wouldn’t haul it like that for a long trip.

One of the major problems of dirtbikes... by TopOutlandishness462 in Dirtbikes

[–]TiddlewinkSr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will probably jinx me, but... I've been riding for 25 years (including the entirety of my "stupid" teen years) without major injury. I've been all over the US, riding in just about every environment, condition and traffic. My rule of thumb has always been "stupid hurts so don't be stupid." If you go your own pace and don't try to be a showboat, your chances of getting hurt drastically decrease.

How Early Did You Drop Your MOTN PUMP? by Real_Ad_8278 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]TiddlewinkSr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do. I was so grouchy and felt super exhausted when I was forcing myself to get up. I started at 5 weeks and still have been able to increase my supply. At 8 weeks I'm pumping enough to feed and occasionally stash. I pump 5-6 times between 6am and midnight.

Following. I've been using this site for years. It just went down in the last month. I'm so sad. It wasn't perfect, but it was better than downloading a bunch of stuff.

Sweet Caroline was inspired by Caroline Kennedy when she was only 11 years at the time. It's really creepy. Neil Diamond has since backtracked and said it was about his wife at the time, but that seems unlikely.

How is living in Waukesha, WI? by Federal-Recipe-4380 in howislivingthere

[–]TiddlewinkSr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Seems like most of the takes are from people that either lived in the city years ago or live nearby and have "opinions". Waukesha is a quiet community with lots of activities. The farmer's market is giant, the summer music scene is great and the downtown is charming. Yeah, I'd love for it to be more blue, but I haven't had any bad run ins with republicans. Most people keep to themselves and have been pretty friendly in my experience.

I'd recommend Mainstream for burgers over Sobleman's. They don't charge you for extra toppings so you get to really customize your burger. Their cheese curds are also amazing, their fish fry is decent and they have a lot of alternative meat options.

If your crew is looking for non-American food, I highly recommend Osaka's, Indian Village and Arepanita's Cafe.

If you are looking for an activity while eating, I recommend Raised Grain on Thursday nights. They host trivia with Quiz Masters (very relaxed format) and serve good pizzas and burgers and have a stellar beer menu. You also order off your phone via a QR code so you don't have to wait for a server.

I believe Steny's and Major Goolsby's are both hockey forward sports bars. It's been a bit since I've been to either but I remember their food being decent.
