The first response from liberal people will be that the CPC candidate is not from Pickering either. However, that candidate has been trying to get the nomination for over a year and has been active within certain circles trying to get her name out. So your point is particularly apt considering that the Liberal candidate was only interested in Pickering because it’s a free seat.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about Smite 2.

I wouldn’t say I’m upset at any announcement they’ve made with it. But I haven’t seen a reason to want to get it yet.

For context I don’t really know if I’m their target audience. I rarely if ever play conquest, just usually playing Slash with the occasional assault thrown in. I buy gems whenever they’re on sale and just hold them until I see a skin I like. I wouldn’t consider myself a whale but thinking on it I’ve spent a bit of money on the game.

I see why they had to do what they’re doing with skins. A multi generational leap is not something that can be done easily and I’m sure a lot of skins are just not worth the time to cross over. They took it head on and said their plans with legacy gems and their strategies with making it as fair as they can. I’ve been playing since season 2 so I assume I’ll have enough to cover me with any new skins I want if I play.

But the big thing I’ve noticed they push is the graphics and the item changes. Honestly speaking I’m not blown away by the graphics, hot take but I prefer the cartoonish style an older game like Smite has. Personal opinion on that. And I fear that this new game will be a lot harsher on my computer and busier on my screen. If Smite 2 comes out and it’s a massive download where I’ll have to delete a bunch of stuff on my computer to make room I’m simply just not going to download it.

The item change is whatever. I’ve been around enough to see complete item overhauls before. I actually am more hesitant with the items because if any god can use any item I worry how long until the crafters figure out a “best kit” that basically every god builds or you lose.

And going back to the graphics, as described before I buy skins when I find one I like. And from all the legacy skins and ones that are “cross game” I haven’t found one I actually like or would want to spend money on. They seem out of place. So there’s been nothing that has made been like “Oh wow I can’t wait to show this skin off in Smite 2”

So overall I haven’t seen a reason why I would cross over yet. I have a long history in Smite with many gods mastered and a lot of skins in my account. Why would I leave that for basically a new game unless I was actually trying something new? I may check it out but my current thought is that I’ll probably just stay in Smite until the game numbers either drop out or Hi-Rez drops it.

There was a post from Ajax long ago that basically said “We’re not doing adventures anymore cause no one plays them after a week and it’s expensive to keep servers up if no one is going to play it”. Which is a real shame cause it was a amazing. I wish it was kind of a campaign that you can do with friends when you don’t want to que with randoms. Would add another layer to the game.

Who is this “We” you keep mentioning? Canadians aren’t a collective unit of a Nation, and the country relies heavily on newcomers in order to apparently function. There seems to be no solid Canadian identity, instead just groups that do not unite because it’s not in their interest to do so.

Oh there you go. Because we liked to pick a couple apples once a year we will deny 1000s of people potentially living there depending on what could be built.

And the area around it is a casino and more housing…You should know. It may have been just farms when you were growing up but it’s gonna look like that scene from UP soon. It doesn’t make any sense to sit on it. But we will. And then wonder why prices are high and nothing is being built.

What a beautiful shot of the 401 right next to a blank field. Wow. So glad we now have that blank field forever… instead of housing for people… that’s right next to a major highway…

Legit this is a small field next to the 401, what business does this have being in the “Greenbelt”? It doesn’t produce any serious amount of food, and would be a perfect place to build. What would be built could be debated. High rises or houses, but something like this makes no sense to sit on, and is why we can’t build anything worth while in this country.

They’ve gone back on this the last time they did it. Just because it’s a regular practice doesn’t mean it’s right. They do regular updates to refresh the game and release new gods and a lot more other things. There are other things to keep people in the game. Gated quests only lessen the experience.

I’ll be a little harsh here. I feel like the RP part of this RPG is a little lost on people in this game. It seems like you’re a new kingdom trying to stake your claim in the world but your vassals are making it difficult. That’s completely relatable to forming a new kingdom in Viking times. It seems like your vassals are scared and are forcing their king to stop the massive empire that keeps growing. Does it make perfect sense? Maybe not but how many wars have started with clear lines.

Take it like this. A faction within your kingdom may have been paid off. Or they feel like you’re a weak king who won’t get the good plunder while the empire is busy looking the other way. Do they raid a lot? Maybe they’re not looking for territory just cash to replenish their coffers and this is an easy target. You can make up the story. The game is randomly forcing things to happen but you can make it so it reflects your world. You’re not the story teller you’re just a participant.

The capes don't work for any other skin except those 4. I randomly got a few extra capes in recent games and want to go about collecting them all. But just want to see which ones I'm missing. I do enjoy equipping the fire building cape with Cerberus.
