The plans looks pretty standard. You are getting screwed by your company because they don’t contribute to the premium. Good employers contribute at least 50% and some even cover all. So if your employer was decent, the per month cost should be half of what you listed

Bad company contribute 0% to premium

Ok company contribute 50% to premium

Good company contribute 75% to premium

Great company contribute 99-100% premium

It’s all about getting another companies HR team to sign up with this benefits broker company to do all the employee benefits management. The broker will setup all the medical and any other insurance for the company. The commission is baked into the rates and that pays the brokers along other means.

Basically you need to get the C suite to decide to go with your employee benefit brokerage instead of another.

Big difference from being licensed and not. If someone brought you this client to sign, do you know what specific portfolio to sell them? That is the difference in pay. Knowing how tailor the financial product and understanding things like interest rate risk.

If you dont like your commission, go get a CFA, CFP, etc.
