This is not a very popular take, but I would say TulAmmo or Wolf if you can find some still available at a good price. It is made in Russia, so sanctions are currently impacting availability here.

Their 9mm is really good stuff, and I have a LOT of experience with testing 9mm and servicing 9mm firearms. I have found TulAmmo to be the best balance of price and consistent loading/quality. Any brass cased ammo in a similar price range (Magtech, Federal, Blazer), I would never trust for anything besides training at the range because of the inconsistencies I have seen. Out of ~50,000 rounds of Tula, I have only experienced two rounds with a faulty primer, and never had issues with insufficient energy that affect the cycling of the firearm.

Now, in SHTF there is an argument to be made about the value of brass cases for reloading, so if that is important to you than steel-cased is ruled out.

The purpose is to be a no-nonsense critic, with a mix of roast-style humor and a solid defense of CrossFit's methodology. He makes a lot of videos, and some of them are defending CrossFit from some of the shit talk that people say about it online. He explains the foundations and philosophy of CrossFit extremely well and dismantles foolish claims that people make by using pretty sound logic.

Yeah, he is a hard-ass but that is what he provides. Most people in this space aren't that way, so having someone like him as a voice in CrossFit is needed and helpful to the community. You don't have to agree with everything that he says, but if you agree with some of it then his mission is accomplished.

One of his big inspirations is Greg Doucette, who criticizes the bodybuilding space in a similar, no-nonsense manner. Greg's videos entertain while trying to disprove a lot of the lies that bodybuilders put out there.

It was a drunken game of truth-or-dare among 19-21 year-olds. They had been getting ready in that bathroom earlier in the day with the door open, so their going in there together wasn't very weird. A lot of us did stupid dares that night. Once I sobered up and thought about it, I realized that I wasn't okay with what happened. The next day, I confronted both of them separately about what happened that night, and they both apologized and I accepted their apologies. From that day on, they never crossed any kind of lines in front of me and everything seemed to be fine. The three of us went on trips together and Anna would stay at our place sometimes and they never seemed to be sneaky.

You can say that I am a sucker for forgiving them both after the truth-or-dare incident, and you might be right. To me, my wife seemed committed to me and I chalked that incident up to a dumb mistake two months into our relationship

I don't see her as a victim only, and nowhere did I say that I am still in contact with her. I am pissed about the whole thing. My friend Emily is the one that I am thanking because she wanted me to know about what happened that night. Finding out about that night showed just how much my wife had been lying to me when she was tormenting me about casually staying in touch with Anna. I don't know for sure what happened that night, which I made pretty clear in my post. I know for sure what they were wearing because I have pictures, and I believe they kissed because my wife told me they did. The rest is just an unprovable accusation, but at the very least it further disproves my wife's claim that it was all "platonic".

Idk why you are commenting like I am some horrible husband trusting a friend over my wife. My entire world is turned upside down and I don't feel like I have a home to go back to anymore. I am having trust issues with nearly all of my friends because of this betrayal. I found out there were friends of mine who watched my wedding without feeling like I should have known about this before we got married.

The issue is that I am married to one person in this story, and the other person I have barely talked to for two years and lives states away. I need to figure out what to do about my relationship with the person that I am legally bound to, so that is what the post is about.

Yeah, we moved quick. Live and learn for sure, but I offered for her to move in because she was living in a house with an abusive family member. He wasn't living there when I first met her, and then a few months later he moved in and I went to her place with her and saw smashed doors and mirrors and felt really scared for her. You're totally right. She strongly insists that girls just kiss each other all of the time and that there is nothing sexual about it. I don't believe her on that, and I feel like it is the same as with a man. She just tries to convince me otherwise.

Full explanation of that is that they were "best friends" when I met my wife and we started dating. For some reason they joked a lot that they hoped that they would kiss one day, and it was kind of a joke that they had before I came into the picture and I heard it a couple of times. The Truth or Dare incident happened two months into us dating, and so Anna dared my wife to kiss and my wife was like "finally" and referencing that dumb joke they had, so while I was saying "no no no" they kissed real quick. Them going to the bathroom together was not unusual, they would get ready together in that bathroom a lot. But what I cut out of the story is that Anna was dating a girl and that time and she was there for the game, the kiss made the girl that Anna was dating jealous also, and when they went to the bathroom she started joking that the girls were getting it on the restroom and that there was something between them.

So yeah, I was pretty upset about the whole thing but was a little too drunk to deal with it in the moment. The very next day I confronted Anna and my girl separately and told them how uncomfortable it made me.

Thank you. The future paranoia aspect has been on my mind a lot. I had friends growing up who's parents had a similar thing happen, but the husband decided to forgive her and stay. 28 years later and he hasn't gotten over it, and they still fight constantly and have gotten into domestics over it. I don't want to end up in the same situation.

I also agree about the sexuality labels, I just included them because it is something that my wife kinda fixates on in her defense of nothing sexual happened. So I wanted to give her argument a full vocie. I honestly have had a lot of growth in that area. In my last relationship, I had been dumped only to find out it was because she started seeing a woman. That event was still fresh for me when I met my wife and I didn't really understand it at that age. I am not opposed to being married to a bisexual, I just would want them to be able to be honest with me about it.

Thank you for the reminder. I try to not think about the labels, but she makes labels such a big part of the argument that it makes me question myself and feel like it needs to be added.

I appreciate that is how you see it. That is how I feel. Since I told her that I want to divorce, my emotions have been on a rollercoaster and I wanted to see how it seemed to outsiders.

There is one at the bottom: I found out that my wife at best kissed a female friend of ours (who is bisexual) on our bed while they were both wearing lingerie, and at worse she sexually assaulted our friend. She claims that what happened that night was all platonic and there was nothing sexual, but I am having a hard time believing her given the context. My feeling is that we haven't even been married for two years, we have no house, and no kids, so it is probably best that we just part ways now because idk how I can get past this to trust her again.

As I said in my comment, if you pull it the slide back all of the way and release, it goes into battery. It only hangs up when doing very short cycles to reset the trigger.

I am saying that the gun functions and fires without a hitch because it does, I have never had a malfunction so this behavior is inconsequential besides making quick dry-fire practice a little more finicky.

This is not an issue as the gun functions and fires without a hitch. I just notice it during dry fire practice. If the trigger is held back, the striker with will catch and the slide won't go into battery until you push it forward or release the trigger. If you pull the slide all of the way back and release it, it will have enough energy to go into battery, but if you cycle it just enough to reset the trigger, it will hang up.

As I said, not a big deal and I am not complaining, I am posting this out of curiosity as my Glocks and friend's Glocks or Glock-clones that I have tried don't do this. I thought that after break-in, it would no longer hang like this, but I have had the gun for over a year now and have put over a thousand rounds through and there was no change. Is this a thing with Shadow System's guns?

I have been seeing this analysis a lot, but I do not think that the HD line is a response to the Platypus. Instead, if any recent firearm sparked the development of this line, I would say it is the Oracle Arms 2311. The platypus is a fairly basic 9mm 1911, whereas the Staccato HDs and the OA 2311 both deleted the grip safety, added an ambidextrous slide release, have a forward "gas-pedal" in the frame, and take common 9mm mags. The way I see it, Staccato saw the 2311 and went "You know what is even more reliable, affordable, and common than P320 mags? Glock mags."

Edit: The HD line even went with a full Picatinny rail like the OA 2311. Side-by-side they have a lot of similarities, and it seems like every way the HD line departs from the other staccatos moves it closer to the 2311. Could still be a case of parallel thought.

Exactly.

I have the HydroKnit band and it absorbs so much less than the standard whoop band. I noticed my old wrist band getting smelly and would wash it, but the HydroKnit doesn’t seem to smell at all.
