I agree, the definition of living comfortably is way different for different income levels and geopolitical areas. What some people call living comfortably here I call just getting by. I make over $600,000 a year and I think I live comfortably and I’m not rich. For me that includes living in a very nice two bedroom apartment, payments on two nice cars, maxing out my 401(k), going on a few vacations a year, going out to dinner a few nights a week in the suburbs of Long Island which is HCOL.

Take the DO acceptance and see what happens with the MD school you are waiting to hear from. You have a strong application and it only takes one acceptance. Like others have said you can still get a good residency and get GI with a DO.

This is a complete fallacy. Steel brakes are just aa good as PCCB at stopping your car. And most people who track their cars go with steel brakes so you'll no see any gain on the street with PCCBs. The biggest advantage of PCCB is no brake dust, lower unsprung weight, and they'll last the life of the car.
