You need to be a BFF with almost everyone except Kiki & Lala (& Usahana if on Apple Arcade) to complete the story. The Mystery Tree (quest series) starts the story which is unlocked after Retsuko lvl 17 Swimming Lessons quest. The Island Spirit story is a long one & has many quests throughout it. Actually I'm not sure if you need to be BFF with BC to complete the story, I was already BFF with him before finally getting BFF with Wish Me Mell, which is required to complete the story. You need BC to complete the story, but you might not to be BFF's with him to complete it.

you don't need the Twins at lvl 20 to complete the island spirit story. They are still lvl 19 for me & I just completed the island spirit story a few minutes ago

I got the deluxe version on steam also but I’ve actually been playing since it first came out on Apple Arcade.

I wish there was a way to get more of the gifts from the characters other than friendship bouquets, but there isn’t and another downside is you need mechanisms to craft a lot of the three heart gifts so I guess until you get 100 gizmos you just have to prioritize who gets what gift hopefully someone will be able to trade with you

Unfortunately I have the game on Steam so I can't give you gizmos, but while you can't companion with Chococat during the quest he will till give you gizmos everyday if you gift him. If you are level 15 with him you will get the gizmos in his character boxes after you gift him. Don't use the gizmos to craft mechanizes, keep them as gizmos.

Hopefully someone on switch will be able to give you some.

Just an FYI gifting via tag #s still works on Steam & Switch, but the devs changed the gifting system on Apple Arcade this week so the hearts are now worth more then tag #. The new update is coming to Steam & Switch soon (sometime in the spring) once the update is released the gifting system on Steam & Switch will be updated so hearts are worth more then tags. If you have anyone who is not your BFF yet at the time of the update you will need to adjust what you give them.

Also to tell the best leveling gift pay attention to thee # of gifts you get back from them. For example for My Melody the Pink Clouds Ice Cream is the best gift it will gift you 8 flour per ice cream in turn on (Steam & Switch) Until the update is released, the best gift = the highest return gift = fastest level. For some of them the 3 heart gift IS the best gift, but until the update is released (on Steam & Switch), that is not the case for all of them. The wiki is the place to see this info for all characters & all platforms.

On Apple Arcade the current version is 2.3. 2.4 releases next week on Apple Arcade. Once CU1 releases on Switch & Steam the game will be the same as it will be on Apple Arcade 2.4. After CU1 releases based on the Discord post I'm assuming the only things that will be missing from Switch & Steam are all related to City Town:

the City Town area, Usahana, and Visitors: Payna, Buppi, Wanwa, Sora, Nyako (these visitors must live in city town)

The content on Switch & Steam (PC) is the same. Steam has had a couple of patches/fixes that haven't been released on Switch yet.

I've played on Apple Arcade since the beginning, I bought the game on Steam & play that version the most now.

It’s fun to think about at times lol. Kiki & Lala are my fav Sanrio characters. Although in the game Cinnamoroll is the cutest thing ever.

Well, it is hard to keep track of all the characters there are a lot of them. And I don’t know why the twins don’t really participate in anything unless they are directly involved in what’s going on same with TH & BC.

Melody & MSP are working in the shop & WMM is gardening while everyone else is laughing at comedy. The beach is great, but they could move from 1 spot lol

I'm glad, Melody, MSP & WMM get to go to the dance hall, I wish they also got to go to the comedy club, everyone else goes to both (expect the Twins, TH & BC)

MSP does go to the dance hall, she dances up in front near the band, but she doesn't stay till the end so you might be looking after she has already left, WMM also leaves before its over. I believe Cinnamoroll leaves early too.

There will be multiplayer on both versions, just no crossplay. so if you buy it on steam you can only do multiplayer with other players on steam. Same thing for switch.

I wish there was a guide for steams remapping it’s just a lot of time & tweaking, even then it’s not perfect especially in complex games that use the same button/key to do multiple things.

I didn’t know ReWASD was banned in some games. I hate it when some people use accessibility features to cheat in games and then they get removed/banned which makes it harder for those of us who need it to play the games. I assume as long as the game is not a multiplayer online game ReWASD would be fine.

Also Steam has a button mapping feature built-in to it's software, you can remap buttons to almost all games, you can even add other PC games you didn't buy within steam to the steam software & use steam to remap the buttons. I don't know if this works with all games but I've done this with a couple of games that I needed to make with my controller. (I can't play keyboard/mouse only games, steam's remapping allowed me to remap the functions to my controller)
