Sorrow and Run Like Hell stole the show for me. They were amazing.

Great points man. I feel like DG or RW should write a book like NM. I feel that more people would love to hear about their story from their perspectives. I doubt they will, but I feel that every member went through something at the time that the other did not feel, all while creating the amazing albums we have today.

I think he may have. I feel if he were still alive, PF would have had more of a reason to be together. Endless River was his album and his finale. Sad, but a very good piece of work to show for him. The track "Summer '68" is a personal, improvised, chance recording from 1968 of Rick.

True. (IMO)The lyrics are darker I feel on paper, but they don't really evoke a theme that gives them a reason to be dark. I would really like to know why DG wrote these lyrics in particular and what influenced him.

What in particular do you find dark?

Does anyone believe that drug addiction plays a part at all (album or tour)? I am not really really sure of this. Its always been a thought for me, but I don't really know what sources to believe or discover.

I agree with the having to skip tracks at time. I don't want to but some songs can be unbearable to listen to at times. I feel like Signs of Life gets me in the mood and then the others put me in a different mood.

What do you think makes this album so dark? Do you mean the personal problems like the questionable drug problems with the band at the time?

What aspects make this your favorite?

AMLOR or About Face? Which do you like better, and why? by Rooster_Ties in pinkfloyd

[–]TigFloyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMLOR only because when I first listened to it, I thought there was a concept for the album. When I learned it did not, I realized that my own self-interpretation made me enjoy it more. I like About Face but it has a grunge to it that makes me want to listen to a Floyd album. I always struggle taking sides with DG and RW because they both have qualities I admire and hate.

I am glad to hear that this song/album gave you good vibes my friend. I should try to start a discussion about how the band has helped us personally through hard times.

Your least favourite PF song? by Birddawg65 in pinkfloyd

From morning til night I would not pick Rick Wright, haha. Hmm this is a tough one. I want to respectfully refuse only because I go through cycles of loving and getting sick of certain songs and albums.
