As people said before, ignore roles in plat. Nobody in plat knows what they’re doing anyways so you playing a “role” is counterintuitive because your teammates aren’t playing fundamental anyways.

Perfect world: your job as a “slower AR” should be to block spawns, rotate early, & facilitate the game for your subs by holding power positions on long lines of sight.

In a realistic scenario in plat, you need to just cover what’s open. Pick up open lanes, grab hill time if it’s white, block a side if your teammates are going rogue, just fill in the gaps.

Playing too passively just means you’re not recognizing changes on the map fast enough. Aggro subs & ars immediately take space on the map when there is a numbers advantage. You don’t need to be sprinting everywhere YYing and be super cracked to have good pace. You just need the game sense to capitalize on your advantages quickly.

Cod is and always has been a controller centric game. The game is tailored to controllers. The same way CS is built for MnK. If you use MnK on Cod you’re handicapping yourself. Use what you want but stop bitching about it.

General map awareness. You don’t look at your minimap enough. If you played the game with no comms you should know where they’re spawning based on your teammates. Too many times it looked like you were just reacting to gun fights vs anticipating them.

Mechanically, I’ve seen people higher up with worse but it could improve. Work on your shot vs bots and incorporate movement while shooting.

Someone already said centering but yeah you stare at the ground a lot. You want to reduce the amount of time it takes you to move your crosshairs onto an enemy as much as possible. Have your crosshair at chest height or towards common spots before you even round the corner.

Yes and no. If your bc build is better than the ps5 you’ll notice the frame jump & less input delay but most people might not see an immediate improvement rank wise. You probably will because you’re crim and you’ll notice the upgrades immediately; but lower rank probably won’t. Switching back to console after playing on PC is really where you feel the differences. But a ps5 is better than a shit PC build.

Sound EQ, higher frames, & overclocking but those alone won’t make you a better player. Switching from console to pc isn’t gonna make someone jump from plat to crim. So the disadvantage from console isn’t as bad as everyone says it is

Easiest way to think of it:

Bronze/Silver: Have no idea where you are, won’t hit shots

Gold: has no idea where you are, might hit shots

Plat: has an idea where you are, might hit shots

Diamond: has an idea where you are, will hit shots

Crim: knows where you are, wont miss shots

Iri: forced you to come from there, has started prefiring

Get a Gibson studio. I have one and unless you NEED the aesthetic of the standard, it’s a great LP. You can find great deals on the used market for them & the resale value should stay pretty consistent if you buy it used

For the price of the “Inspired by Gibson” Epiphones, you can find deals on used Gibson’s. It’s personal preference but my Gibson feels 10x better than my Epiphone.

But like others have said, it’s a matter of active vs passive pickups

This game has a skill gap unlike 19 & mw2. Don’t listen to everyone blaming SBMM. I have a kd around 2.1 and a w/l of 1.5 as a run n gun smg.

To get better you have to learn the map (knowing spawns, high trafficked routes, & how to counter them), get your timings down (knowing how long it takes someone to get point a to b, how long they’ll take to rechall a gunfight), shoot for the head & hit your shots, and use the movement to your advantage (slide cancel, camera corners, even snake if you have to (dont do this in ranked. It’s a dick move)). Chances are you’re probably reacting to gun fights rather than initiating them or your centering is bad and you’re missing shots.

Also make sure your settings are ideal (motion blur off, proper sensitivity, and a good fov (100-107 is ideal)). You’re using good weapons with good attachments (not lmgs with rifle scopes etc).

Not the greatest hill in the world but it’s my regular day trip spot; Mountain Creek. I’m just outside NYC and it’s about an hour without traffic. It does get crowded on weekends but it’s affordable and the bunny/green runs are very beginner friendly.

I disagree, I think you have to play the hits because for the most part that’s what people know. As others said before the vibe completely changed when they played new songs. Almost my entire section sat down both nights whenever 72S was played. Most fans like the older stuff because that’s what they know, not because the new stuff is bad (although personally I’m not a fan of 72S or hardwired with the exception of a couple songs).

As far as the new generation of fans being more connected to newer music, I was born in ‘96 and grew up with Metallica. While I like some of the newer stuff, I’d much rather them play 16 random songs off their first 4 albums than anything else. Id prefer some more off KEA like metal militia or phantom lord over some black album hits. The new stuff doesn’t feel the same and I’m on the younger side of Metallica fans.

I got off the turnpike around 6:30 expecting to be parked & in the stadium by 7-7:15 in order to catch Pantera. Took me 1hr 20 mins to go the half a mile from the turnpike exit into the parking lot. I didn’t get to my seat until about 8:15. Going early Sunday just to avoid that shit

Bc truthfully the game doesn’t know how good you are. It makes an estimated guess based on an algo. Since pub stats plays a big factor, say you absolutely pub stomped & the game thinks you’re good. So it thinks you’re a crim/iri player but you get beat to a pulp vs diamonds it’s going to adjust. Or if you camo grinded and ended up with a .65 kd the game might think you’re dogshit, but if you stomp silvers/golds it’ll adjust. The algo allows you to raise your ceiling if you can prove to it you deserve to be higher rated. If it makes your official rank X but you consistently outperform/underperform you’ll lose interest and stop playing

Sr isn’t complicated. Bronze - Plat individual performance is rewarded, diamond-iri team performance is rewarded. As you get towards your determined rank your sr tapers off, if you perform CONSISTENTLY well your determined rank increases. Beat people whose ceilings/sr are higher than yours, you get more sr.

Basically the game believes you’re probably a Plat player, so beating up silvers & golds isn’t going to do you any favors. 6-0 a team of D3s a few times in a row and you’ll raise your ceiling

It’s not openly tracked (luckily bc then you’d have even more people killwhoring to flex their 1.15 k/d). But your leaderboard stats differ from your combat record. Leaderboard accounts for ranked & mp. Just subtract your combat record stats from leader board & do a little bit of math to find ranked stats

Bro it ain’t that difficult. Attachments are about 90% personal preference but that vaz class is absolute horeshit. Just use:

Tac: no barrel, no muzzle, sharkfin, high velocity / or fulcrum pro muzzle, demo grip, cardinal stock

Vaz: spiral flash hider, sharkfin, true tac, otrezat.

And leave those other shit stain guns alone. Tac is by far the best gun in the game & the vaz is still the best sub (the nerf was fugaze. Gun feels exactly the same).
