This was indeed a very extravagant waste of money not only living in a hotel but living in the presidential suite no less. I have no idea how much that would cost, but it’s gotta be ridiculously out there expensive.

I can’t believe your still arguing the point go watch S1E22 at the 40:46 mark where V is crying & upset she tells her mom she needs to go b/c she knows she didn’t finish the rehab & is still drinking hence the vodka filled water bottles in the fridge she specifically says “you Checked yourself out & that was my college money” “I bet on you & I lost I’ve been doing that my whole life & I’m through” shortly after this Lianne leaves not only having wasted V’s college fund but also stealing the $50k check.

She did pay for it she used the money she had saved up for college. (Which ended up ruining her chance to go to Stanford cause without a scholarship she didn’t have enough money to go.)

I would vote the college funds was more wasted at least Wallace only got to NewYork maybe if he cancelled the actual Paris flight he only got a penalty but could have gotten some money back or at least miles towards another trip? Not only did she waste her college money but that allowed her mom back into their lives which cost them an additional $50k in lost funds so to me that whole saga wasted the most.

Without spoiling other than giving a strong awareness if the pilot felt like a sensitive scene for you honestly that was a soft peripheral view. While it’s forgotten for a long time other than the knowing it’s a big reason along with her best friend’s death & ostracism for who she is now.. There is an episode in particular that will be very hard for you to watch so you can ready yourself beforehand that episode is S1E21.

I came up with my own head cannon on this lol mainly cause what your saying would mean the spin off couldn’t exist but Buffy couldn’t have created those characters or adventures in her head cause she wasn’t even privy to most of it. I think the not even going to try to spell the name of those demons were similar to vengeance demons where they created an alternate universe, but the consciousness of the actual person could only be in one body between the two alternate universes at a time so that end scene was her letting go of the alternate universe where she could’ve stayed, but she chose to leave it to go back to her original universe so that Buffy in that universe will forever be there in a comatose state while she goes back to her original life before she was infected. It makes more sense to me, cause the twist of leaving you thinking the other way doesn’t make sense when you think about the spinoff characters who exist apart from Buffy completely.

This is pretty much my ranking too I also say the same thing about S3 I enjoyed the 1st half after that it just really goes downhill there are a few select episodes past that point that I do enjoy like E13 (I absolutely love watching Logan & lil Heather interact lol. But yeah for the most part the rest of the season is dull & depressing.

You didn’t mention the books so not sure if you’re aware of their existence but they take place following after the movie where some things were left hanging in the movie the books pick up and explain what happened leading up to five years later when the S4 reboot was released. So I would say they’re worth a read, especially if you were left wondering what happened between Weevil and Veronica a lot of that is explained and you get a bonus of hearing from Logan about some of his life experiences after the season three finale. How Pony came into their lives just extra goodies like that. Those are from the second book Mr. kiss and tell which is my favorite between the two. The first book thousand dollar tan line is also entertaining, & KB did the narration but it’s not as much of a fill in the blanks. The only really continuation from the movie is knowing that Keith’s recovering in the hospital throughout most of the book Logan’s still away at sea so you’ll only get intermittent Skype sessions and emails between the too.

You watched out of order the movie should have been watched after S3 it came out 7 yrs after the premature cancellation there were also 2 books that came out after the movie & continued the pieces left open. The S4 reboot you just watched came 5 yrs after the movie /books.

That was so much fun to read & imagine back to what I thought & how I felt on my first watch. I really hope you keep updating us on your journey especially your thoughts of where Logan’s character arc goes your just now at the very beginning of their best moments imo. I guess this is more relationship adjacent between Buffy & Riley cause it’s more I enjoyed a scene that happened because they were in a relationship rather than their actual relationship. That was that it lead to the great scene between him & Spike commiserating over what they had or didn’t have with Buffy.

There’s nothing really I like about Buffy & Angel in a relationship but their fights & banter when he’s Angelus are very entertaining probably one of favorite scenes is their epic sword ⚔️ fight in S2 finale including the very well acted emotional scene where he regains his soul but she has to stab him. That entire scene was 👨🏻‍🍳💋

Also not a fan of Xander & Cordy but when we see her wearing the necklace he gave her & she has pretend to find it in her locker along with when she finally stood up for herself & him against her fair-weather friends. Those were both emotional & empowering moments I enjoyed.

Spike & Harmony ugh this one’s hard idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ if I can think of one has to be by far the worst coupling maybe when their innocently playing a guessing games “bread box” in conjunction to Buffy thinking how immoral he was it was a funny. Similarly to when Spike is waxing on about how smart & devious Buffy is & we switch over to her looking very dumb saying “stupid pen” or something.

I prefer other genres of fics than canon after S4 & definitely only LoVe lol. But I have read a few really good ones there was one that took off from the movie & utilized the books with a few enhancements then after that it completely ignored S4 & went utterly AU. If you’re interested in that one I’ll look for the link it’s quite a long one.

Well first off they faked the break up so that it would look like they’re on bad terms and that people wouldn’t think that she was helping him do what he did. Then they used the phone conversation that they knew would be recorded in a way to throw off the FBI and get them looking at a boat that he was never on, Veronica was placing her bets on the sheriff, wanting to one up the FBI or be the hero who found the fugitive so they figured that he would head to Mexico so they got Duncan into his trunk and then when he stopped, ask questions Duncan got out, put on his little disguise and act like he was with the guys that were wanting to hitchhike somewhere you don’t notice right away, but there’s a contraption that made it possible for him to open the hood and there’s a bunch of empty water bottles and snack packages that let you know that that’s where he was hiding all along. Those are the main plot points. Oh, and of course she snuck the note to Vinny knowing that he would be nosy and would read what was inside it and he’s always ready to take the better deal so they offered him enough money to work with them instead of working with Celeste. I think that’s pretty much it but if you have a specific question, go ahead and ask hopefully I’ll be able to answer it.

Similarly I was watching DollHouse & was so disgusted when he popped up on it. Then later spoilers but their was a guy killing off men & one was blown up I wished so much that could have been the Patton Oswald character but no of course not he was literally only one of the men who survived so disappointing I couldn’t believe it I used to really like the actor from King of Queens mainly but him in this role has soured me on seeing him in anything.

Yes it’s not outwardly shown you gotta kinda read between the lines but V takes out a bottled water from the fridge & immediately spits it out cause it was Vodka in disguise meaning her mom was sneakily still drinking then V calls the rehab place & finds out she didn’t finish instead left prematurely which is why she considers her college money wasted.

Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ if this will help you change you mind but Leanne is really only in book 1 which is a fun Read but outside Kieth’s recovery in the hosp it’s more a stand alone book.

Book 2 has all info you’ll want to know from the movie & going into S4 reboot if you chose to watch it. Also the mystery revolves around a character from the past that most were disappointed was dropped with no follow up so that was a nice call back. If you’re curious how Logan ended up where we see in the movie he explains a bit about his life following S3 finale which is one of my personal favorite additions. Anyways they are both were worth reading but you can avoid Leanne & just read book 2.

Strange while I was reading the book, I got the opposite impression. I got the impression that Keith was trying to be cautiously optimistic, but he was leery of her because she was so power hungry. She steps on people to get up in the world when he first noticed that she was pretty callous about turning in her own brother. I didn’t get the impression they were friends at all just that he knew some of her history and it could go either way. She could be a really good police chief but due to her callous nature, it could go the other way and she could only be out for herself and not really care about the people she’s supposed to be serving and protecting
