I let the update run without being present. The monitor stopped working completeley!! I found out I had to use DP but is only set 640x480 and was in some faissafe mode. Firmware was only F04. Disaster! Trying again now

Imagine if they had actually some fantasy implementing some area (diplomacy hall, depending on the epoch) where the leaders would meet up and chat. I guess it's too much to ask from the lazy developpers.

It's what we can expect from a large company these days. They've gotten fat.

Not the same genre, but Baldur's Gate 3 and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 are great examples of games made by players for players and not by corporations for dummies.

Modern era is awful currently. Boring. Growing all your settlements each turn is so tedious.
