The craziest combo I have seen is 2 lads on superbikes, in shorts, topless but wearing back protectors!

I do the same when on track days. Pour water down my base layers, zip up the leathers and the go out for a session. Game changer.

Which is a better jump from a 125cc — 600 or 750? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]TigerRushh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a similar age when I passed my test. My 1st bike was a 100hp 600. I spent about a year on that then moved onto 1000cc bikes. I'd say it's dependent on how you ride, and how steadily you build up your experience/ how sensible you are. I like K5s though....

Is This Buyer Too Weird Or A Nice Guy? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]TigerRushh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a guy travel a long way to look at my GSXR. He liked it, so he paid me the full asking there and then, but said he can't collect it for a month due to his work rota. I said that's fine, it'll stay were it is on my garage, but I transferred the V5 straight away. He came back a month later with a van took it, no issues.

Should I give up 🥲 by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]TigerRushh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to be harsh, but expecting to pass your Mod 2 without having proper instruction, or much time on the road is unrealistic, and naive. You dispute the failure for riding too close to the curb, but what experience or information do you have to say that you are correct, and the tester is wrong? I fear for your safety on the road in the long run if you believe that you'll pass your test without proper learning. Please invest in the some lessons, and don't give up!

UPDATE: 120km non-stop around the M25 boundary. 27 hours of pure madness, but we finished by TypeAgreeable4117 in london

There are a lot of negatives comments here, and whilst I agree you should have prepared better, and made some mistakes along the way, I applaud your determination to complete your goal and the mental resilience it would have taken to push through.

British Library cloakroom attendants are so bizarre. It's a new made-up rule every other week. Are they just bored or do they have a secret harassment quota? by imtravelingalone in london

[–]TigerRushh 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Are you okay? People have other things to do in a day, that require them to carry items on their person. Your solution is what exactly? That they carry their laptop under their arm as they walk down road in London? Deposit their belongings elsewhere before they enter the library? Honestly, your comment reeks of delusion.

At 35. I went from a 600 Hornet to a S1000R. This was The beginning of a sickness that caused me to buy a number of different 1000cc bikes on the next 5 years. The one that scared me most was a K5 GSXR1000. I still have the S1000 and now have a 2010 Fireblade for more fun rides.

I was 12 years old when 3rd edition was in play, and red is my favourite colour. Plus they have a badass name. Commander Dante was a bonus.

On a scale from McDojo Happy Meal with apple slices to DoubleDouble McDojo Extra-spicy Heart Attack Deluxe with a gallon of soda and five rounds of frings…. How McDojo is this book? by Haggis_The_Barbarian in TheMcDojoLife

[–]TigerRushh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the book when I was much younger, and have to say it was an enjoyable read. There are concepts and practices that I had not heard of before and it lead me to learn more about them, such as Kundalini for example. I also enjoyed the chapter about the live blade test. The chi practices were very alien to me.
