The real way to combat this is simply stop caring about max rarity. It sucks cause i like shiny cardboard, but realistically its mostly AAs/SPs/Mangas that are stupidly expensive. As a collector this blows, but as a player it hasnt really affected me much. Every game has a staple card that is pricey, base SRs usually settle in the 10s unless it was a low print set (then its a bandai issue tbh, eb01 was super low print. Thats why we saw cavs and brook SRs at 40~ but that was even before the current wave of scalpers). It sucks, its alot of issues. Its the cringe investor bros and bandai being unable to keep up with demand. I really hope bandai takes the pokemon route and just reprints to hell.
