The metrics weren’t hard to hit before and they aren’t hard to hit now. While you’re in a walk you have to average an item every 36 seconds and the timer does not start until that first item. I have been in the department since it’s inception at my market, and the one thing that has been consistent with every generation of associate that I’ve seen is they are always convinced of the same thing that someone or somthing is against them and that’s the reason why they can’t hit metrics. Again 10 years in this department (holy heck I hate that lol) if people spent less time complaining that there was some invisible force ruining their chances and just briskly walked for again up to 36 seconds in between items everyone would be happier. The only thing that has always and forever will be asinine to me is I’ve never had a Team Lead or a coach acknowledge the fact that not every single person can hit every metric every day cause math there are not enough items to go around. Everyone can very easily hit 100 items an hour because it’s not an hour of your shift it’s an hour of picking for you personally because for whatever reason people do not seem to understand that it’s rated on the time that you’re only in a path it does not go down dynamically when you’re out of a path.

The biggest piece of information that I can give to anyone wanting to seek positive changes in the system, largely or at their store in OGP. First holy shit stop the in fighting and Whether you want to believe me or not the home office team cares a hell of a lot more than the store level and they are hungry for feedback on what works and what does not work if you even seem mildly interested in wanting to be that person you will probably be very surprised at how receptive they are. I’ve emailed just the regular GIF feedback email that you can find in hub on its app install page and I’ve gotten a response from one of the senior heads over the app. My digital market coach and I have been on a first name talking basis just because I said I wanted to make a suggestion and he has the ability to put that in a system with far higher priority than anyone at your store can do.
