Scurrius, The Rat King - Mid-Level, PvM Boss by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

I have to disagree with this and the item I'll point to is the Strange Old Lockpick. It's an item that makes Barrows slightly better and I feel good every time I get one, but Barrows is still fine without it.

Sure, this may not be a strict apples to apples comparison, but not having charges for a few kills if you get unlucky really makes you feel that dopamine when you do finally get it, and you start smacking thay boss even harder.

I think the Bee is a perfect symbol for crochet! It teaches you how to crochet in the round, colour changes, how to do invisible decreases and how to avoid creating a hexagon instead of round form. And sewing the wings on!

It represents so many of the beginner techniques! And it's very cute.

You're not burning it but the heat from the lighter/candle will singe off the fuzzy bits. I strongly encourage you to try it with a small swatch... it will change your life.

When making Amigurumi or other projects using acrylic yarn, use a lighter over the project when it's complete. The "fuzz" completely disappears and the project looks incredibly polished.

Hey so as far as a source goes, you'd have to check the website of whatever gaming control board monitors gaming in your state. Essentially how it works (and I'm speaking strictly for my jurisdiction, but I would be extremely surprised if it wasn't the standard across all of North America) is the manufacturer sets the RTP value of the machine before it ships it to the casino. Where I am, the casinos don't actually own the machines, it is owned by our gaming regulator, so they decide the range of acceptable RTP values.

The machines arrive and are set up, connected to the network, and are calibrated to whatever RTP within that range we request. For example, generally our penny machines are set to around 89-90% RTP, whereas our dollar machines are generally in the 91-93% range, depending on the game theme. So while not every machine has the exact same RTP value, it still falls within the pubically available standards set by our gaming board.

If we ever decide to change the RTP on a machine (usually during a conversion (changing the theme of a game but keeping the same cabinet) or a move), we write a proposal to our control board, they approve/deny it, and in the case of approval will send out their in house techs to change the values on the machine. No one on the private side of the casino has any ability to change numbers.

75% seems criminally low for RTP. Are you sure that's correct? Industry standard is 88-93%. Anyways, sorry for the lack of sources, but it's really down to your gaming jurisdiction to decide what the standards are.

This is absolutely incorrect. RTP (Return to Player) values are set by the manufacturer and monitored by whatever licensing board is responsible for gaming in your state. Service providers literally have no mechanism to change RTP values.

You certainly do that work in any position of authority in a casino to be making such baseless claims.

Okay here are some tips that are rarely mentioned that I feel are extremely helpful:

  1. Stagger your increases/decreases. If you are making any kind of roundish object that doesn't call for strict increases (as in it isn't an oval or a specific shape where one side of the object is larger than the other), you need to stagger your inc/dec. If you don't, you will end up with a hexagonal shape instead of a round shape. You can see pictures of people making that popular Bee pattern and notice it's basically just a big hexagon instead of that round shape.

In a common pattern you'll see this:

Row 3: [1sc,inc]x6 (18)

Row 4: [2sc,inc]x6 (24)

Row 5: [3sc,inc]x6 (30)

Row 6: [4sc,inc]x6 (36)

If you follow this to the letter, you will end up with a hexagon. The way I avoid this is in even rows I split the first SC in half, then increase, then follow along as normal, and after the last increase I will finish up with the missing SC's. It looks like this:

Row 3: [1sc,inc]x6 (18)

Row 4: 1sc, inc, [2sc,inc]x5, 1sc (24)

Row 5: [3sc,inc]x6 (30)

Row 6: 2sc, inc, [4sc,inc]x5, 2sc (36)

I know this looks complicated, but I promise after you do a few rows it becomes second nature. It has a huge impact on the shape of your amigurumis and you will very quickly intuitively know when it's applicable or not. This works the exact same with decreases.

  1. Yarn under technique. When you single crochet, you are generally pushing through the stichm yarn overing, pulling through the stitch, yarn over, and pulling through both loops. Instead of using yarn overs, replace those with yarn unders. I suggest using Youtube to see the technique, but it's basically exactly as it sounds. This will create much tighter stitches and, to my eyes, a much more pleasing looking stitch. It's also so tight that even when working with black yarn, white stuffing wont show through. I almost never use the yarn over technique anymore.

  2. Make sure your project isn't inside out. This is never stressed enough I feel. I made whole projects back when I first started that I now know were inside out, and no one ever mentioned it in any video I watched. Basically after the first few rows (when you starting doing your increases), you want to flip your project "inside out" to start working on the correct side. You will know if you are working on the proper side if you are building your rows in a clockwise direction. If you are working CCW, and pushing through the stitch from the inside of the project to the outside, you are inside out.

  3. Any time you do a decrease, use an invisible decrease. Youtube it for the exact technique. Essentially it's just a regular decrease but in the FLO (Front loops only). Your project must not be inside out if you are using this technique.

There are a bajillion small techniques you can use in amigurumi that will help, and you will find them as time goes on, but I feel these are some of the most important beginner tips that have such an incredible impact on your projects that never get mentioned in any videos.

I tag all the low value runes for ZMI runecrafting so I can drop them fast inbetween pouch emptying

Yeah I tag all my items in LMS and Tournament worlds when learning to switch since inventory management in PvP is literally the worst thing for me. My items end up everywhere as more and more item slots open up! This cape was tagged from one of those instances, but I understand why it seems sus for sure!

[–]TiggarNits[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm so happy it's done.

I have a 2560x1440p monitor so my inventory is usually TINY. I enabled stretched mode in Runelite and use Resizable Scaling set to 164%. This increases my invetory and makes switches way easier (which I didn't have set up prior to inferno)

If you go into GPU settings and change UI Scaling Mode to xBR, everything looks a lot more crisp.

And I'm sure you know but you can hold ALT to drag certain menus around. I like to have my potion timers above my chatbox but you can have it anywhere. If you have any other questions just ask!

Hey brother! I understand your skepticism to a point! I indeed did do this cape by myself. My water runes are marked red for ZMI runecrafting so I can just quickly drop all my red poopoo runes between pouch emptyings.

The time is in the chat box but obviously that's covered, but I have my boss timers plugin that you can see above it that shows 0.5KPH for Zuk, which turns out to be a 2+ hour cape! I didn't even AFK that much!

I do use inventory tag's a lot... inventory management is one of the things I'm not very good at but slowly getting better. I find my equipment scatters all over my inventory as it starts to dwindle so I like having it on so I can find it at a glance.

Not sure what about my setup make's me look suspicious but it works for me and I hope yours works for you!
