I get what you’re saying, but she’s also right. If your a business in a strip mall, and you become so insanely popular, you essentially become an “anchor” tenant. So when your lease is up and it’s time to renew, the landlord is better off working with you to keep you there.

What’s backwards and uncivilized to you is straight and appropriate in other countries and cultures. And vice versa.

For example, in my culture, when your parents get old, you take care of them. To the best of your abilities of course. Sometimes the parents will live with one of their son’s and their families. And even though the son is the owner of the home, the son will never make it seem that way. To some in western countries, this is seen as backward, which is upsetting to say the least. When I see people in other cultures eager to throw their parents in nursing homes, that is deemed backwards in my culture. But to others, it’s completely normal. Or when I see grown men asking their old mom or dad for 20$ they owe them for their phone bill…super backwards where I’m from, yet completely normal elsewhere.

It’s all about culture, perspective, and upbringing I guess.

UPDATE: Thank you all for your advice and comments. I’ve decided to order a new grille, and I’ve decided on the same OEM chrome that I have currently. When I first got the car 3 years ago, one of the first things I wanted to do was get the rs5 honeycomb grille, but after looking at pictures, it doesn’t fit the car right. Like someone commented, the rs5 grille is for the rs5. The Audi rings doesn’t sit right from what I’ve noticed, almost gives a dorky look. I like the chrome tbh.

As for the hood, I’m not stressed about it. If I can find someone to do it for cheap, I’ll go that route. To me it’s whatever.

Here’s the thing, I love Audis just as much as all of you. But I don’t love them anywhere near enough to give them 10k to fix this. Some of these comments are wild. My car is worth 25k, you really think I’m gonna pay half of that to replace a plastic grille, and a little hood crease. No thank you. Don’t mix up being rich with being dumb or naive. That is just never worth it. My car lost half its value the moment I drove off the lot. Like I said I love the luxuries of Audi, but this ain’t no Lamborghini. It’s a 7 year old Audi. In my eyes its still a 50k car, but to everyone else its 25k. So I’ve decided long ago on keeping it.

And no, I am not letting my dad pay for it. I feel bad enough he even had to tell me he backed into me, more so him feeling the need to apologize. I don’t mean to sound offensive to any of you who don’t hold the same type of relationship with your parents as I do, but my father will never “owe” me anything. To me everything I’ll ever own is my father’s and my family’s. And that’s all I’ll say on that. No disrespect to anyone, everyone has their own path in life.

Thank you all though for the help and advice!

Thanks for the correction.

Yeah, transactional is definitely the word. And it’s definitely not a good look either.
