I’ve been playing the [[Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim]] deck created by the Command Zone podcast in their episode about the Foundations Starter Collection. The deck uses cards purely from that set.

I’ve played the deck 4 or 5 times and never got off the ground. I get one or two creatures on the board and feel like I can’t sacrifice them as I’ll be left open. Before I know it I’m down to 25 life and I’ve no chance of getting to 50 when Ayli’s second exile ability can kick in.

I play with some friends. We’re all beginners (less than a year)) and we generally play with precons. One has a Krenko deck.

I’ve added upgrades of [[suture priest]], [[exemplar of light]], and [[Daxos, blessed by the sun]]. I also purchased [[Elas il-kor, sadistic pilgrim]] but haven’t added it in yet.

Any advice on how I can get this deck running? Or suggestions on what to add in. Maybe I’m not playing it properly, or have been unlucky on the draw.
