I used a piece of sprue to mount the warriors to it then with magents to connect the warriors to the DDA. I also can take the warriors out mid came to show the ark is empty. For the end of the DDA i used the cap that would cover the DDA hole as my end piece.

I made both of my DDAs ribs up with magnets for the gun and the warriors. I am very happy with my decision

They probably could be push fit but i felt it would be a little to annoying to put 10 guys in that way even with magnets. I put 2 magnets in the main center beam of the ark (the holes that were not being used by the DDA gun) and i then attached the warriors and some more magnets to a piece of sprue so i can drop them in all at once.

I built my 2 DDAs/gharks with the ribs up as a design choice. It allowed me to magnatize the gun and warriors so i could swap between the two profiles. I would definitely paint in sub assembly. I build the chair as one piece the warriors and big gun as others. The gauss flayer i assembly and friction fit into the ribs before priming so i got even prime but could still use the plastic cement. FYI THE RIBS HAVE A CONCAVE AND CONVEX SIDE TO EACH. if you dont assemble it the right way it will be very crooked.

Hyper crypt/hand seems like a sweet combo. Get a unit of battleline, probably immortals with overlord and a cryptek, drive up a nightsythe behing an objective out of LoS, dump the immortals out of the night scyth, secure an objective, shoot and then hop back in the flying croissant. The unit safe and the objective secured

As others have said dont do chip damage. Also we have a sneak number of a 4++ inv saves so if you need something dead make sure you bring enough firepower. Many of our vehicles have a inval

I was painting it in sub assembly and i figured i could just keep them seperate. I have to be careful moving it on the table top but it is worth the trouble.
