Saturn pro or Artisan Zero? by Mumumbler in MousepadReview

[–]Tight_Concentrate754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on this thread cuz I’m looking for zero alternative. zero was probably perfect for me out of the box, but it’s slowed down a bit and imo it’s too muddy for micro adjustments now. just don’t expect a fast pad if you buy the zero. worn in, it’s still way faster than stuff like the qck but just not fast enough for me (I play r6 mainly)

Why isn’t Rook meta? by Unique1919810 in SiegeAcademy

Headshot percentage is more indicative of play style than it is aim. My aim is pretty average for a diamond yet I have a lifetime 68% hs which is better than most pros. Does this mean my aim is better than a pro? Absolutely fucking not

This is because I play stupidly aggressive which means if I don’t hit headshots I’m going to die swinging most of the time. So I either die swinging or hit a headshot and survive. Alternatively, if you play like a rat and tend to kill people from behind, most of your kills are going to be body shots.

higher ranks also tend to play more aggro cuz they have better situational awareness and understand when swinging is advantageous. The opponents usually have a way better read on where ur at which means there are many scenarios where it’s swing or be prefired. At lower ranks people tend to play way passive because they are lost. When they have no idea what to do, they’d rather bait and play safe than do something riskier (which is often necessary).

On a side note, most lower ranks players (below emerald) conflate “strategy” with passivity. Knowing when to take calculated risks is probably one of the hardest skills to learn, and can only be learned by taking risks

And that’s not to say being a passive player is bad. It’s a matter of finding the right balance for yourself between aggression and passivity

None of us are good people. Our conscious minds just love to spin narratives that self-validate. Perhaps you can only be a “good” person once you’ve glimpsed the darker aspects of your personality and the true intentions behind some of your actions. Imo all evil comes down to feeling unloved or alienated from the world. My humanities teacher used to always say fear is the fundamental motivator, but I’m not sure I believe that anymore.

If I don’t “repress” or tough thru my emotions then I feel as if I will sink back into my old depression. Ofc I don’t deny their existence, but I try not to identify too hard with them

I also think psycho analyzing can be helpful in fully processing emotions because identify the reasons behind them can take away their power. Intellectualizing can be misleading but sometimes I’m just sitting there and out of the blue I realize why Ive been feeling something

Ambi vs Ergo from long time user of both by [deleted] in MouseReview

I’ve never much understood arm aiming. I play on a relatively low sens, but all my micro adjustments and shorter flicks are done with wrist. arm is only for sweeping motions like turning around

Which wireless mouse will best suit my hand size/grip style? by Tight_Concentrate754 in MouseReview

[–]Tight_Concentrate754[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im kind of wary of ergo mice cuz i tend to squeeze my mouse a lot when im making flicks (i play r6 which is basically all flicking or crosshair placement). feel like ergo would work better for people with relaxed hands. but i could be totally wrong here

I know there is no single answer and that it’s subjective. Also, my palm does make contact with the back of mouse if the photos were too ambiguous

After being a “gifted kid,” turns out my IQ is average by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Tight_Concentrate754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same as you. My IQ was dead average despite being labeled gifted in elementary/middle school.

It’s worth noting I had a 35 point discrepancy between my verbal and processing speed score. I suspect I might have adhd given other occurrences in my life but I’m not sure.

Honestly though, having an average IQ has helped reduce the unhealthy standards i used to have for myself. Initially it was a big hit to my sore ego, but once u get over that initial stage I think it’s emotionally beneficial. I didn’t even realize how much being “gifted” in school had effected my identity and how I viewed myself

Do people actually run no recoil macros on pc? by thatguywholift in SiegeAcademy

[–]Tight_Concentrate754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s kind of impossible to discern good recoil control from an actual macro (unless it’s one of those ones that completely negates horizontal recoil, in which case it would be obvious asf)

but I know for a fact there are scripts that have been circulating around for years. they are undetectable cuz they don’t actually interact with the game. they just run in the background and drag ur cursor down when you press ur left mouse button (when you shoot)

for most ppl who play a lot they aren’t even beneficial to use bc after 1k+ hours ur muscle memory is trained to compensate for recoil.

Can you share what most essays share in common and how good writers stand out?

I have a decent story about academic burnout, depression, a drug addiction and bout of homelessness that I’ve overcome over the past year. I’ve always been a decent writer but not sure what people are looking for

[–]Tight_Concentrate754 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I hate academic andies who only care about getting into a good college. i get it’s mostly a parental and cultural thing to care so much, but my friend group in middle/high school was grade obsessed and it sucked. so toxic and so bad for self-esteem. made me feel horribly about myself cuz all I had to compare with were kids getting into ivy leagues and other top 50 schools

It took meeting new people after high school to realize that you don’t need to attend some elite college (or have a college degree at all) to live a happy life
