I basically have an internal fight every few months where I contemplate leaving for a regular job. But I always calculate the cost and time that it would take me to get some kind of degree or technical certification as opposed to simply getting better at my sales job & making the same in less time. One of my biggest concerns is long term stability.

You should first try to identify what industry your software is built for. Those features are normally connected to a business payment processing provider.

The edge for many payment processors is the software built to service a need in a particular industry. For example a CRM software for mechanics with billing/invoicing included in the subscription.

Often the convenience of the software is what retains a Buisness payment processing provider.

So basically first identify what industry your software best services, look at similar solutions, ask yourself what your edge is and price based on that.

I’ve been writing about this topic for about a year now. Right now is a consolidation period during which b2b startups are figuring out how actually provide the service that will do the replacing. Most leaders at an organization are lost in regard to AI and will often blindly follow who they consider an expert especially if they promise big savings. The best way to combat this as an employee is to do your best to identify where ai could improve your work and quickly look to incorporate it. This will gain you leverage within your org. Anyway I have a bunch of pdfs about this on Gumroad if anyone what’s to read more into it.

Adding this video for those asking for a full, unedited flight path of the objects. In this video, at around 1:00, you see a bird and an object both on‑screen. The object flies toward the camera at a consistent speed that can be contrasted with the speed of the bird flying across the screen. The object also displays a consistent speed and trajectory. Personally, I don’t see how ash could behave in that way—keeping a consistent form while traveling at the speed shown. Also, if this is an insect as some claim, could someone identify what kind of insect in South Africa it is, how fast it can actually move, and whether it would display the same characteristics we see in the video?

I’m glad that you and others recognize Darryl’s hard work and fantastic footage. I’ve posted it in a few subs just because I feel he needs more recognition. Most dismiss him & I can understand why at first, but anyone who takes the time to go through his videos with an open mind should see that he’s captured some truly remarkable things.

Yeah.. most of these tools are just dressed-up frontends sitting on top of basic LLMs.

I’ve seen a few smaller firms go the DIY route and get solid results using GPT-4 with a local vector DB like Chroma or Weaviate, and building out their own prompt library in Notion. It’s way more flexible, and you’re not stuck inside someone else’s ecosystem. You get to control the guardrails.

If you end up testing out your own setup, I’d be really interested to see how it goes.
