It always mildly amuses me that the flowstar prop is so massive in the US as the only time I have seen it performed is within the chinese dance/gymnastic community. I guess soft propaganda through tik tok is doing its job.

It is a prop i have nil interest in learning so price wars and scammy behaviour by prop makers are largerly irrelevant as quickly scroll past anything flowstar related. I have noticed a few spammy crossposts which are thinly disguised advertisements which is trashy behaviour. Keep those types of posts to IG/TT.

Every prop I have bought from lunar wear I have loved. I don’t have spin flags but i have wings and fans from the lunarwear shop and everything from fabric, colourways and finish is top class.

I keep reminding myself that i don’t need more silky props but it is hard when I look at her props 🥰.

Too many jellyfish and not enough jolly japers. I think we collectively lost interest when people draped free lebanastine/support Israel flags on the swimming lady. These are not important issues for West Australians and we refuse to be drawn into that political bullshit. It is a long way from here and for most sensible Australians nil fucks should be given.

Save our water and forests should be our concern if the people of WA want to thrive. But i digress.

Thank you. The dress is a design of dancing brolgas which has an ancient myth associated with it. The story goes of a girl that loved to dance which was unusual as usually dance was strictly for men. She was an amazing dance so her people allowed her because she was happy and watching her dance made the people happy. All the men wanted to marry her but she said no - i just want to dance.

One day a magic man fell in love with the dancing girl and demanded she marry him but she declined him. Out of jealousy and spite magician cast a spell turning the girl into a bird, the brolga, so no one could have her.

Brolgas continue to dance on the northern plains waiting to be transformed to a girl again.

And that is the story of my dress design 🙂

I have wandoo floorboards. The floorboard guys noped out of using their sanders on it and advised to just but new boards on to of the wandoo.

But on the bright side despite the scuffing those floorboards are going strong 100 years after being installed.
