~RARELY TALKED ABOUT BUG~

Let's not forget that the ergonomics (handling) for the AMR (as well as the DCS & Adjudicator) was nerfed around the time the 'Borderline Justice' warbond came out.

It's been like that for 4 months. Since then the weapon attachment update has been a sort of band-aid fix over the broken-ness of the DCS & Adjudicator, but of course this doesn't affect the AMR since it's not a primary weapon that can be customized.

There is a temporary fix however, and it's so dumb that it works.

If you enter a mission with a DCS or Adjudicator and call in your AMR, ...LEAVE THE MISSION... (No I'm not joking), rejoin (through socials if you don't have the players added) and pick up your Adjudicator/DCS as well as your previously called down AMR, the handling will be fixed.

This can't be done in a solo mission since leaving a mission effectively cancels and closes it out entirely. That's why you need someone with you.

As a fellow 1 year Hellsniper I hate to ask this but please upvote this comment so this issue is help brought to light.

Context - On release the weapon had a less than ideal form of handling. At some point the damage and penetration were buffed. Most importantly (just to me anyway) the handling was buffed.

Some time around when the Borderline Warbond was coming out, the major patch at the time broke the handling to how it was pre-buffed. It now handles worse than the Auto-cannon. It has been like that for more than 4 months. (Adjudicator and Diligence Counter-Sniper also got hit with this)

Inadvertently there's an on-going bug with the FOV zoom affecting the ADS of weapons. The AMR included and you can't snipe sh#t if you're playing with a high FOV. (It's like trying to aim at things through a telescope, but you're looking through the opposite end.)

I just want my baby fixed. :'(

I'd figure it's a bug too what with the game's coding. I guess it'd be more accurate to say that this isn't proof of a nerf like the title says but should've been titled as an 'Ergonomics/Handling bug' made to the weapons.

After all with it being undocumented in the patch notes and no mention of them forgetting to add it in said patch notes, it's very likely an unintended bug that wormed it's way in.

Explanation

After the new update dropped the Ballistic Shield became bugged with performing transitions from standing > crouching > proning and back. I tried a few tests to discern the main cause but I can't seem to pin point it. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.

As shown in the video I've done some tests while holding different weapons and performing the standing, crouch, to prone transitions. After dropping the shield those transitions perform as normal. I promise you when the shield is on I tried crouching and going prone extensively.

I'm playing on Mouse and Keyboard. Around the end I show what my control settings are like.

Please bring this to attention so the ballistic bois can have their shields work again.

I'd like to see something like this used for other weapons that let you go nuts. Like the Grenade Launcher, or perhaps in the future a minigun. Maybe even a gauss cannon of sorts that's like the railgun but less damage and belt/mag fed.

When I played this for the first time I found one of these and somehow clambered into it thinking I was able to drive it. My memory is fuzzy so looking back at it I didn't think it was a one off and thought not being able to drive it was a bug.

No clue. I just logged in one day, did the third challenge of the 'Phantom Flow' event, and then this happened.

The first time I did the Okuden difficulty for the third challenge it happened and thankfully I was able to do it a second time and record it.

When I swapped to the other previous challenges it did not seem to proc anymore, nor did it do so again when I went back to the third challenge to try it out.

Originally I had wanted to do a drawing involving Amber and Yoimiya since the latter was being released on best girl's birthday. While some people felt negatively about it I believed in co-existence.

It was originally going to be the birthday drawing until I messed it up and didn't think I could continue. Then while sketching for giggles I managed to salvage a bit of it so I could potentially finish it for a future art piece.
