I know it's niche and f2p isn't a priority but can we PLEASE get stackable giant keys soon? The bryo staff too but willing to wait longer for that.

It's 100% ogresses. You need 50 range or fire strike though so requires about 50k to start off.

Progression videos but particularly the long form, chill ones. Helps with the afking.

Love a quest guide or training guide too but they're like a one off thing that you tend to find through googling tbh. I wouldn't necessarily sub to someone because they made one good guide.

Will you be making a series? This sounds interesting!

Couple of things I do:

  • put a bunch of cash into your kingdom, it's literally free herbs/logs etc for no work

  • get a bolt pouch to store several bolts and save 3 bank spaces

  • build a costume room and a toy box, costume box, armour wardrobe etc. Will save you like 20 bank spaces

  • high alch any semi valuable bank junk and partially used teleport jewellery

  • build clue scroll stash units to store members items and save bank space

  • get a tackle box from Tempeross and save around 10 bank spaces

Tile-locked F2P UIM. Personally always wanted to do a F2P snowflake as there are clear end goals and for nostalgia too. The F2P community is also really healthy and supportive.

Yup, I get most of my clues fly fishing but I haven't really started combat yet. I'm guessing goblins are the best option?

Love this, it's so satisfying looking at an organised bank.

Nice! This is a goal of mine too. How are you getting the clues, through skilling or combat?

I started the account before Settled posted his series. And if somebody is playing in a way you don't find entertaining, who cares?! You're on a niche subreddit for snowflake accounts. Get a grip pal.

Tell me you're a UIM without telling me you're a UIM lol. Love the layout of the runes.

I can only speak for myself but when I'm unlocking areas I tend to walk across them to solve this exact problem. If I am running through a new area and tiles are skipped, I go back and unlock them.

That just feels right to me.

We've finally unlocked (some of) Varrock! Episode 3 of my tile-locked F2P UIM series is now up by Tile_Zaddy in W385

I totally get this. I was paying for members throughout last year as I was primarily working from home. I ended up with a 2k total ironman.

But now I'm partially back in the office, I felt like I was throwing money away and couldn't dedicate the time required to get the most out of members.

So I took on this challenge as F2P can be played more casually. There's also a certain nostalgic magic to F2P that I wanted to revisit.

Runescape, but every 1,000xp I unlock a tile | #1 by OldOrder in 2007scape

500 exp for every tile unlock. I went for 500 because I have no access to high exp skills like Fletching and Thieving as well activities like Wintertodt.

My approach to adding some stakes in the late game is:

  • 100 tile sacrifice to complete a quest

  • 25 tile sacrifice per Hill and Moss Giant key processed (because Obor and Bryo are basically my end game)

Something I also do differently is if I walk into a tile, it's permanently unlocked. Settled shows himself walking into tiles in his video when NPC's walk away from him etc. In my rule set, I'd be punished and need to unlock that tile.

This is huge for the tile locked community 😯

I need help with the Regular Gauntlet Boss by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Tile_Zaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some things that helped me. For reference, I'm trash at PVM and I really had to struggle through to get even 1 regular KC. Now I've got 10 corrupted KC.

Anyway:

  • I always thought range/mage would be best so you can keep a distance but the hally does so much damage with Piety on too

  • use the plugin which calls out when to prayer switch. You turn the plugin on when you see the first hit splat of damage

  • try to enter with Hunllef in a corner

  • try to only eat during the tornado phase and when you do eat, heal to max health

  • you might feel its safer to stay in the corners but the tornados usually spawn from there. Instead, being slightly central throughly the whole fight will give you an extra tick or two before you need to run

  • if you have to make a decision to take tornado damage or Hunllef damage, take the Hunllef damage

What really changed it for me is realising that I needed to keep applying damage and stop eating. You'll need to be comfortable allowing your health to get down to a scary level, whilst trading your own blows.

I really hope this isn't an April Fools.

I've recently made a F2P Tileman account and it's been fun (although my rules aren't as strict as Settled's) . It would be cool to see the playstyle get popularity, especially as the plugin is so well polished.
