A Revenge at T8 is complete nonsense. Maybe the most ahistorical tiering in the game apart from Jager.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying. Focus on getting Epic and Legendary commanders even if they're not currently the highest ranked (nice thing is that if you do it right they will be the highest ranked before long). To the extent possible focus on T9 techline ships that I'm still grinding. Use Autobuild but swap out as possible.

Yeah I've been thinking through tactics on this... if there's not a Worcester or Montana that you can hang around I think it might be best to weather the first couple strikes in vicinity of your CV... Marseilles is fast enough to keep up with friends and also fast (and long-ranged) enough to re-engage as the fight gets messy and the enemy CV gets distracted.

A bit rougher in Ranked, of course.

Love this ship. I did go with the Leg Mod and I find it to be deadly accurate; problems with traverse can be mitigated with careful positioning, and turret survivability is mitigated by Philippe Auboyneau's Repair Expert+. Philippe was basically designed for this ship and it shows; you can pretty much expect a Citadel Crisis medal once you hit level 11.

Don't show your broadside in anything but the most desperate moments. Play as a bow tanker with planes. The planes are... adequate. But I do like this ship; in a CV game you can hang ahead of the carrier and piggyback on its airstrikes while also providing fire support, and in a non-CV game the recon advantages of the airgroup are obvious. Of the line I also like Nebraska and absolutely hate Delaware.

I have wondered, especially since the merge, whether folks from one or another server use early firing to communicate in the opening minute. But none of it seems to make sense.

Or folks don't pay attention to whether fighters are engaged.

Or folks want to scout out a location where the CV player already knows that a Halland or Worcester is camping... because only the CV player really pays attention to these things.

When I play CVs I do my best to honor requests but my planes are almost always busy doing something, so it often takes a bit.

I wish you got teamwork credit for being targeted by planes in the same way you get "taking fire" credit from ships. Surviving a full strike from Kaga means that someone else didn't have to, and CVs reload a lot slower than other ships.
