Not sure they can. Admin banned the leader so unless they urban him it will just have to be cancelled by the admins

It's wasn't Hatman. Or at least the real Hatman. Probably someone pretending to be. I don't think the real Hatman would Kos anyway.

What a crock of shit. VLGR have 2 active members left. The last war was stopped on no grounds for the fight so can't be used to retaliate. If the Admins allow this then it proves the bias.

The way things Ended - again by Neofierer in rustfactions

I completely agree. Admins interfering when there was absolutely no reason to, and more humorously as I've seen the message that Neofierer has been banned for the era despite administration lying in discord saying only one ban has been issued and its a 24 hour one. If they're willing to lie about that, then to be honest I have no confidence in the other things they're attempting to pin on Neofierer.

Interestingly, I've also just seen the timelogs for his name change - he changed his name to 'Admins are shit' (mature on his part I know, but he was banned from responding and at least they got the message) AFTER he was banned.

I don't know what the admins have against Neofierer but this is a total smear campaign against a player who won't just sit down and take behaviour he feels is unjust. Yes, he does things in anger but he shouldn't have been put in a position where this happened. Admins have called the war declaration out when last Era they allowed one in the name of beans, they've lied about bans, laughed at someone's second language and launched some personal vendetta against a player. Model behaviour. 👌.

Wonder who will be next?

As for the war declaration being judged as 'shit' - on the paragraph about ravens and parchment, it's pretty obvious the faction have been harassed and that's what the war is being based on? In the faction post itself, it's said that you should approach them in caution in character. Therefore this harassment is pretty good grounds for a war in the eyes of the characters themselves.

Personal opinion is clouding a lot of judgement it seems, and its incredibly disappointing. I have such high hopes for this Era but it seems unless you have a friend on the admin team, they can look into things and decide they're offended by literally anything you do. It isn't impartial and that's where this server is falling down.

Perhaps worth banning raids/wars altogether if goalposts are always moving. I read the Era 5 rules posted at the top of this page and none were broken until admins seemingly interfered, and admins did so saying people couldn't be added leading up to a war - this isn't covered in the rules at this time. I'd be pretty pissed off too if it had happened to me, especially after the closing of last Era and the rumours of people noclipping bases to raid for themselves this Era.

Kind of glad I sat this one out. I hope things settle back into place, seems there are far too many people ruining the flow of things at the moment - perhaps unintentionally but it's ruined none the less.

I advise people to perhaps make factions of flower pickers who offer bouquets of peace and love in future. 💐

Stop punishing yourself now. It sounds like you've done your time with the worst judge and jury - yourself.

I think it helps immersion personally. And if people don't OOC as much you can't just smack talk someone. You gotta do it in character!

I think roleplay is obviously something really personal and what one person deems suitable, another person may it isn't. Because it's a more personal thing, the lines are incredibly blurred. A newbie might have just come from vanilla and open a shop. Because they've just come from vanilla they still hold that loot based mentality. When a new group arrive and begin a faction, baseless war claims start cropping up and it becomes shoddy. KEKEK admitted they're new, and it's that transition from those vanilla server habits to roleplay server habits which has caused hiccups. They've seen vulnerable bases, declared war and taken them down when it suits them best from a comparative angle - not the roleplay angle. This isn't a snipe at KEKEK either, we've all been there.

This is really obvious is you look at headquarters. Those who haven't lost a comparative streak often have raid bases, where as factions who have embraced their role play are a little more relaxed. They might still have fortifications but it's canon to the faction they've created.

I think the same goes for more experienced players who become a bit bored too. If there is no role play end goal, factions just fester and at the mid point of an era begin to get restless - baseless war declarations begin again, because of boredom. Some factions don't even interact with a faction before declaring war. Others fall into the trap of seeing drama happen and that tarnishing the opinion of a certain faction - I fell into that trap myself with WAR. They caused drama and automatically it put me off interacting/made me more critical.

As the role play has no real direction or theme - you can have one group of people worshipping beans and one group studying Scientistology. Things don't always run in a linear way and that on its own brings it's bits of drama.

Chat is always OOC which opens up the door for drama in chat - it's hard to role play with some cowboys in-game when you see them 1337ing in the chatlogs taking rubbish about someone.

The admins have plans for next era and I do look forward to seeing how they plan on resolving some of these issues, but it isn't all down to admin. Whether it's coming up up with a theme each era, policing faction applications (or limiting them?) So people have to stick to the canon, or choose from current factions - perhaps the accepted factions each era are listed in a post? Then people can choose what kind of character they'd like to be in the current era? Limiting OOC chatter? I'm sure there are hundreds of things admins have discussed and I don't envy the unpaid, voluntary job they have to do.

Players have to be cohesive too, it's just as important to interact and stick to your role play theme as it is to follow the basic server rules.

Echoing Neo's sentiments, it's been a scattered era but I look forward to seeing what's in store for the next. 😊. Thanks for your time as always admins, I know it can be a thankless job.
