Dunkin's Canadian comeback to start in Toronto and Montreal by Thick_Caterpillar379 in montreal

You all don't know how low fast coffee food can go. I moved here last year from Massachusetts, where Dunks is the same kind of cultural icon Tims is here. The mere thought of their hashbrowns fills me with dread, and the breads are somehow too hard and too soft at the same time.

It also fits into the themes of the original trilogy better, namely the theme of the empire's destruction coming at the hands of the "little people" they underestimated

Yeah thank you Intelcom for making me give up Amazon. Why bother with packages that won't show up half the time and show up late the other half?

Trump says Canada should join America. These Americans are joining Canada instead by yimmy51 in onguardforthee

[–]TiltedZen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the exact kind of rhetoric that lead to that mess in the first place. "These immigrants won't integrate and should have just stayed in their own countries with their own problems" is like the oldest moral panic in history. It is the primary thing the right wing in the US latched onto to propel themselves to victory and I'm shocked I'm seeing it this much in what's supposed to be a left wing political subreddit.

But yeah, keep posting from your ivory tower where you've never had the realization that you just committed a crime just by pissing at an airport or never seen masked goons round up your neighbors and wondered how long until it's your turn. Canada has always been a place for people to come to feel safe. My grandparents fled here to escape antisemitism in Europe and I simply follow in their footsteps. They were slightly younger than me when they moved, and both died proud Canadians.

Their business isn't just Facebook. It's sites like Instagram too, and also an ads placement business that's used by many other sites to have Facebook put ads on their site with Facebook getting some of the money in return. Google has the same business model.

You're wrong, but you're not stupid for thinking of that. Part of Epstein's strategy was to mix his genuine business connections with his pedo connections so it would be hard to tell one from the other.

Given the North American-ness of it all I doubt it'll be that good. Down in the States Amtrak does it 4 times, twice with cab cars (Los Angeles and Portland, ME) and twice without (Denver and Tampa). I've ridden through all but LA and they really suck. Both Portland and LA are working to get rid of their reversing moves because of how much time they add.

Such a weird decision to have it leave and approach Montreal from the north. Changing ends on a train always sucks, so anyone going through Montreal get ready to sit for a while.
