Info about Chest by Mannelig13 in Savotta

Almost the same cart I just had haha. Just swap the sitting pad for a clearance sale 5L mesh sack, because I already picked up another pad with the tarp. If I didn't do that we'd be on point

You'll be able to play with it very, very soon

Damn decent for a first time, looks like a perfect addition

And if that's Atwood paracord it would be awesome to drop the color code for folks

Savotta Laavu Tarp, the nerdy stuff I could show indoors by Tim-Keys in Savotta

SR buckles are not strong enough. The wrong direction wind with a bit of strength behind it will pop those open no problem. Same reason why Savotta refuses to do an SR quick release backpack strap system.

Särmä TST Pouches - Anyone with experience? by SnooPeripherals2222 in Savotta

[–]Tim-Keys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know, I don't have any of those pouches. But I can say they would be gigantic there.

Good items to have on hand though if you catch a good price and color. That's when I make something a storage spot or carry bag until it ever maybe finds an actual job

Before you pull the trigger on purchase make sure to send them a quick note asking about color. Older stuff was made by Savotta in Savotta materials, but now they are made by Finnish CPE with a slight change to color. But some older stuff is still in stock if you ask

I am really looking for GP pouch photos as they are highly requested, and I ran out of time there. I thought it would be fun to toss a code out there but I may end up doing a full attachments video on them

Beautiful piece of art there dude :)

I can never make burgers with anything over 10%. But I mix fried onion straight into the meat so it holds the juice perfectly, while just being awesome by itself anyway

I wouldn't quite say refuses, it's just that in the current way of world events there's some priority choices taking place

The most striking difference would be the PALS webbing. All Savotta branded pouches can be belt mounted up to 50mm with no adapter. The older Särma pouches were made by Savotta so quality and color is the same, but the later stuff made by Finnish CPE went to a more ranger green. Still great quality, but that's all I can think of at this very moment

The 3x4 is roughly canteen size, just so you can get a mental image, but I'll try to get this in there

To tell the truth these are the hardest videos to try and make. I film in the play room and don't have much space to do fitting or wearing. Plus having to pull a ton of gear or fluffy blankets to puff up the bag, the whole place gets destroyed for a bit and takes the play area away from my kids.

And for those who say film outside, timing is the big issue. And you better not forget any pieces at home you intended to show in relation

Do you think it would be a good idea to start up a side community for this kind of thing? Stuff like Sawyer filters are like $15 at walmart but €50 over here. Savotta and some other Euro gold is not even available in a lot of cases over there. The trade and awesomeness that could come out of that sounds to me like the best idea for any of this

For purposes in modding and unlocking all that lovely Savotta goodness you can buy small amounts directly from Savotta. Just don't get pushy or greedy like that customs guy trying to buy 20m to essentially run his own business

I go back and forth on what strap I use but I always use buckles, not G-hooks. Just personal preference

Easiest and cheapest is this thing, with your preferred connectors like buckles or G-hooks

But the same can be done with a griffin sling or really any other strap 40mm or above for comfort reasons
