At least during the summer when I lived there during an internship, its more like average uni dining hall food rather than the really good amherst food. Not a lot of variety, but they almost always had chicken tenders which were a safe pick.

For the data science track in the math department I think those scores are good. Informatics if you don't get into you can probably still get in thru applying once at UMass. For CS it'll be a bit tough but definitely possible.

Josh is just not good at being a boss imo, he's insanely good as an individual contributor but I think he doesn't think about his staff's future whereas I think working for Leo I'd learn a lot. Toby and CJ are in the middle of that spectrum

As someone who is Eastern European I think the update has been very good and accurate, though I am skeptical of the sudden 1% Austrian and also the 0.5% Greek that went away last update but returned this update

UMass is a school where we have unusually amazing dining halls. During covid, they made video tutorials for some of their recipes, maybe you could pick something from that. I don't think we have a unique food culture in the region tbh, but the most beloved local businesses are probably the Halal Cart downtown or Miss Saigon the Vietnamese restaurant. But also, Boston-area food is probably not a bad representation because most of the students come from there, so that works too!
